The only place I’ve taken my dog for the last three years. They consistently do a great job and my dog loves going here. He’s an old temperamental boy but always comes out with his tail wagging and I know they treat him well and are patient with him! Everyone is always so kind and they have great communication. Could not recommend more!
Amy is literally a saint! She has groomed my senior dog 3 times now. My dog is extremely difficult to groom now to due to her old age and health issues. Amy has done such an incredible job with her each time. She is so kind and patient. She really does whatever she can to make my baby comfortable. She also has looked great after all 3 grooms despite it being so tough to groom her. Thank you Amy!!! Posting a before and after photo where you can see just how clean she got her!
I recently brought my dog in for a mini grooming appointment with Amy. Overall, I was pleased with the results. His haircut looked great and he smelled amazing afterward. Amy clearly put effort into his appearance, and I appreciated that. However, I did notice a few remaining mattes, particularly on his tail and belly. Since this was a mini grooming, I understand that not everything may be addressed, so that wasn’t a major concern for me. What did concern me was what I witnessed during the final part of the grooming. I arrived about 30 minutes before the session ended (he had been there since 12:00pm, and it was 2:30pm when I came in). My dog was calm and well-behaved, but I observed the groomer becoming visibly frustrated while trimming his paws. She raised her voice several times, telling him to sit still. While I understand grooming can be challenging, especially after a long session, I believe patience and a gentle approach are essential when working with animals. My dog is generally cooperative, and after two and a half hours, it's understandable he might be a bit restless. For me, it's very important to entrust my pet to someone who remains calm and kind, even when things get tricky. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I truly value the quality of the grooming but also prioritize my dog’s emotional well-being during the process.
I haven't been to The Dog Salon since my Pomeranian Dweezil, passed away back in 2021. So this was the first time my malamutes, Odin and Frigg, have been groomed there. It was amazing. I love the communication. Receiving the report cards was such an amazing bonus and something I absolutely adored. My red Malamute, Frigg, looks like a new dog and smells so good. Odin, they got 2 garbage bags of hair off and he is so happy and handsome. Seriously an amazing experience. Thank you so much!
Gunther has been shedding a lot lately. I have been defurminating him at home, however it was never enough. I decided to take him somewhere to get a bath, defurminated, nails cut and anal glads. He is so soft and smells good. Sometimes when I have taken him somewhere he is still shedding a lot when I pick him up. He was soft and not shedding. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I love the vibe of the place too. Seeing his name on the sign was super cute. Also you can see straight through the place, which is cool. Gunther and I will definitely be back!
