Escape room was super fun! Staff was friendly and puzzles were GREAT! Not easy, definitely a challenge! Would 100% do it again! Katie amd Ashlynn were great hostesses! 10/10 recommend!
Have completed almost all of the escape rooms in the Tampa Bay Area and decided to check out Great Escape Tampa as we have checked out the Saint Pete location! Did the Arcade room and it was set up really well. JM was extremely friendly and Jalen and Genevieve were fantastic game masters. Definitely check them out!
Having done over 100 escape experiences, I will say that The Great Escape Room Tampa offers a really solid escape experience! We did Escape the Colosseum: The Underworld Maze and Arcade Challenge. Both rooms were about mid-range on tech, with some traditional combo locks or key locks and some triggered moments where a magnet disengages and opens something. The Colosseum was a different experience designed as a set of four 30-minute rooms that you progress through, each with their own unique puzzles and challenges. I thought the collection of rooms was well themed and offered interesting puzzles to solve. The Arcade room was more traditional, though I did really like the themeing and style. Our game masters, Raquel & JM, were energetic, friendly, and helpful. It's unfortunate that they don't seem to keep a record of best times for anyone that likes to see how they fare against others, and their website is extremely unhelpful when trying to determine the difficulty of their rooms. The game masters were happy to assist with the difficulty factor, but by the time you're talking to them, you've probably already booked a room and arrived. I appreciate that they offer encore room pricing, where you get a discount for running another room after you finish one. They also have a nice, large lounge for waiting for your game to begin or waiting between games. Overall, I think this is a great choice for anyone new to escape rooms or looking for a new take on a traditional escape experience!
I had an incredible time at this escape room! From the moment I walked in, the entire team made the experience unforgettable. Huge shoutout to JM, David, Leo, Mackenzie, Kristen, and Raquel — every single one of them was awesome. Their energy, professionalism, and enthusiasm made everything run smoothly and kept the whole experience fun and engaging. The room itself was creative, challenging, and super well-designed. You can tell the staff truly enjoys what they do, and it shows in how much effort they put into making sure guests have a great time. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun, immersive, and memorable escape room adventure!
We had 9 people in our group and had such a good time! The Presidential Bunker room was great, definitely challenging,kept everyone busy but we made it out with 4 min to spare!! Great mix of puzzles and decoding. David was a Fantastic host and he even took some AMAZING photos for us! He's definitely hired lol. Memories were made! I'm sure we'll be back
