3.5 stars actialy. A good thrift store. Mostly clothing and accessories. Quality of the items were touch and go. Most items around the $7 mark with some more "premium items a little more expensive but still affordable You do have to walk down steep stairs. I don't know if there were any elevators available Good place to get a bargain or for costuming
this thrift store is honestly one of the best and most affordable thrift stores i’ve ever been to, and i’ve been to over 20. I’ve only been twice since it’s not that close to me but the first time i got this SUPER cute dress that felt like it was made for me and the second time i got a pair of jeans that make me feel phenomenal. I highly recommend coming here if you live in Canberra or if you are just passing through. I will be going back!
Very cool secondhand store in Canberra’s city centre. Clothing is well sorted and pricing is so easy. All clothing items (at least when I went there) were $7. The store is huge. They have lots of other second hand items there besides clothing too.
I miss the original Green Shed. TGS stocked absolutely everything; homewares, building materials, free clothing, weird and wonderful things. There was a dedicated pet isle, manchester, blinds and awnings and spare parts for all things imaginable. Nothing was turned away. The excitement of the next trolley laden with goodies rolling out kept people around for hours. People lined up with arms and trolleys full of treasure, knowing they would receive a fair deal at the counter. The more you had to purchase, the less you paid. I scored some incredible bargains at TGS. I paid $10 for a chandelier that had a price tag of $1,499. I paid $8 each for Moroccan pendant lights, my son chose a combi beach print for $2, which was right at home amongst the plant stands from TGS. There was no greed from TGS. It didn’t matter if you got home and decided the items purchased no longer suited your need, you’d just pack them up and drop them back at the donation station, because it only cost you a couple of bucks to purchase in the first place. And the trash and treasure life-cycle started again. I hope TGS can find commercial premises in the near future and resurrect the tip shop that Canberra loved.
The Mog Champ sends his regards. One of the more bigger second-hand shops I've ever been to, did not buy anything from them but I had a good browse of the whole store. Definitely worth coming here for the second-hand shoppers in my opinion. Mogliest Regards, Your Mog Champ
