A true hidden gem! There aren't enough words to say how amazing it was to have our wedding here. We were on the fence if we wanted to have a wedding at all but from the moment we walked into the space (and met Jenn) it was a no-brainer. First and foremost, the prices are extremely competitive, we window shopped a few other venues and The Mansion, despite being the prettiest venue, was the most budget friendly by far. Their "just show up" package allowed us to really enjoy wedding planning, I didn't feel like I was project managing an event. We got to book our own photographer & DJ (important choices!), but everything else was handled, from the day-of staff to the catering to vendor communication. Jenn was so patient and communicative through the entire process, and the day went off without a hitch. The space is gorgeous, timeless and cozy enough to feel intimate without being cramped. I cannot recommend this venue enough for anyone planning a wedding in Norfolk.
Loved having my ceremony here! The mansion is beautiful. Jen, the coordinator, was amazing to work with🙌🏻 she kept everything organized and adhered to every detail. She was also so sweet and charming. The venue has so many beautiful sites and was the perfect romantic atmosphere.
My daughter was married over the weekend at the Mansion and I was a little skeptical because it wasn’t the typical venue. I was so wrong. Jennifer Beck was in charge and gave my little girl the best day of her life. She walked us through everything and it went exactly how she said it would. The staff blew us away with their service and to say it was the perfect wedding is a complete understatement. I have no words to describe how appreciative we all are to Jennifer and her staff. If you are on the fence about this place…..get off the fence because they will exceed all your expectations. I can’t thank them all enough.
We absolutely loved our wedding at the mansion. We got married on 12/7/24 and the mansion pulled out ALL the stops to give us the winter wedding of our dreams. From the beginning to the end Polly was AMAZING to work with- She really listened to us as a couple and was so helpful with giving us ideas for our ceremony and reception. We were so happy to find an all-inclusive venue that provided rentals, decorative florals, catering, catering/bartending staff, valet, and more. We (and our guests) were so impressed with everything from the decor to the food! We had so many guests share with us that our wedding was their favorite one they have ever attended. From the moment I found the historic Martin Mansion, I knew I had found the perfect venue for my son's wedding. And the betrothed couple agreed as soon as they stepped thru the front doors. This elegant estate, with its rich history and timeless charm, would provide the most enchanting backdrop for their special day. The mansion's grand architecture created a breathtaking setting for both the ceremony and reception. The meticulously preserved details, from the ornate moldings to the exquisite chandeliers, added an air of sophistication and romance that made their wedding day truly unforgettable. We chose the Mansion after deciding the former venue just wasn't working, leaving less than 4 weeks for the staff to plan and execute the festivities. But both Suzanne and Jen were exceptional, ensuring that every detail was handled with care and precision. Despite our numerous requests and multiple changes, they remained patient and accommodating, even through the last minute tweaks on the actual wedding day! Their professionalism and attentiveness allowed us all to relax and enjoy the day, knowing that everything was in capable hands. Whether you're envisioning a grand, opulent affair or an intimate, romantic gathering, the historic Martin Mansion offers an unparalleled atmosphere that will make your wedding dreams come true. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a magical and memorable wedding experience.
