We were married at The Ivy House in July 2024, and although this review is a bit delayed, it is more than deserved — five stars. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, but what truly sets The Ivy House apart is the staff. Every single person we worked with was fantastic. The DJ genuinely listened to our wishes and created a dance floor that was packed and fun for guests of all ages. The recommended food vendors were a 10/10, and the bar staff was so fun and added such great energy to the night. We couldn’t be more pleased with how our wedding turned out with emphasis on the “fun” thanks to the staff. The bridal suite upstairs was perfect for a day of getting ready (with plenty of natural light). The suite on the main floor where the groom and his party hung out leading up to the wedding was a bit small, but worked out fine since we didn’t have a large wedding party. This wasn’t a non-issue and the men got ready and hung out around the hotel majority of the morning. If I had one critique, it would be that the communication in the earlier months could’ve been better. Answers often required follow up us. Despite that, our day was still seamless & have no complaints. I think it’s also worth mentioning that we’re from the Chicagoland area, where there are countless choices. Even still, The Ivy House would still be our first pick if we had to do it all over again. Thank you, Ivy House! 💚
We used The Ivy House for our wedding ceremony & reception and it was PERFECT. The staff were so friendly & accommodating and the bridal suite was so convenient for getting ready. The venue is absolutely stunning & our guests couldn't stop commenting on how beautiful it is. Located only a few miles from downtown, it was perfect for our out-of-town guests staying at hotels.
My husband and I got married here in June of this year and we had an absolutely amazing experience. From pre-day planning to day of execution we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Mallory was incredible and helped us with all our questions and made sure the day flowed how we hoped. The space itself is so beautiful with the greenery and natural light. The bridal suite is spacious and an excellent place to get ready and the outdoor patio makes for a great cocktail hour space. We hope to return for other weddings in the future!
The Ivy House has a lot going for it, which is why it books out well in advance! As you pull up, you’re greeted by its bold green brick exterior, the giant 906, and the colorful Journey Mural in the parking lot. Cream City Brick and Ivy accent a spacious Ballroom, merging modern and classic design elements to create a fun, accessible space for celebrations. If you look closely, much of the wood used throughout the venue (including the bar!) is upcycled from the old bleacher boards at Grafton Middle School, complete with the original seat numbers. It's details like that that give The Ivy House so much character. The venue also features The Fernweh Patio Bar, an outdoor space ideal for ceremonies, cocktail hours, or dancing under the stars. That indoor/outdoor flexibility is a major win, especially in Wisconsin, where weather can be... well, unpredictable. The indoor and outdoor options create flexibility for couples and provide a built-in weather backup. As a wedding photographer, I evaluate venues based on how much they provide for couples as a photography backdrop. The Ivy House offers so many options - inside and out, throughout the whole wedding day. It’s not just the building that's awesome, either! Nick (venue manager) and the staff of the Ivy House are friendly and awesome! They go above and beyond to ensure all the details are covered and the guests are comfortable.
We got married at Ivy House in November 2024 and wish that we could give Ivy House and their team 10 out of 10 stars. We were lucky to work with the amazing Mandi Benjamin. She knows her venue like the back of her hand and every question or need that we had she was right there to assist. We wanted a venue that worked for us - the ivy in the building, the chandelier, and the patio all work together perfectly, and your guests will be in awe of how gorgeous the venue is. The drinks at the bar were DELICIOUS, every person we encountered that works there were so nice and professional, and also give this sense of ease to everything they do. Thank you so much Mandi and team for the amazing experience! And be so happy Milwaukee Airwaves is their exclusive DJ - our guests (and us) NEVER left the dancefloor. So much fun!!!
