I’ve been coming to Lab Coffee for years but just getting around to giving a review. Their pour overs are what I love and keep coming back for, Ethiopian yergacheffe gedeb has an amazingly smooth , ‘earthy?’ and a bit sweetish flavorful taste. The pour over system they have is a relatively quick process so there’s not much waiting. The vibe is chill and they have these empanadas which are to die for. Even the espresso drinks have a choice of single origin or blend , highly recommend this coffee shop!
Legitimately the best coffee I've found in the Tampa Bay area. Breakfast bagels and empanadas are fresh made and equally delicious. All employees are super laid back and very friendly - happy to offer suggestions and know their craft very well! Special shout-out to Scott for being so welcoming! Highly recommend checking out
Unfortunately, the best cappuccino in Tampa. I say unfortunately because I have to drive far to get here and parking is limited 😅 Smooth, rich, silky. The only way to describe it. The notes they say the coffee beans have are the notes I can taste. Not milky. Costs less than $5. Literally could not ask for anything more. Baristas are also incredibly friendly!
The only disadvantage is du to Shortage of stuff the service slow specially during weekends and the kitchen is open to the main area the place can get kitchen smells and smoke easily.. not recommended for those who have plans after
I like the lab, I really do... I hate the seating and parking here. I often times will spend 4+ hours in a coffee shop and that's not convenient here. The seating leaves a lot to be desired. The coffee is fantastic, it really is good. The staff is friendly, and there is good natural light. I just hate the seating here. S.O Cappuccino, pour over.
