Stephen Chen was absolutely great to work with in my divorce. I met with many attorneys prior to Stephen, all who seemed competent but pushed to take the most difficult and expensive route possible. STEPHEN CHEN was a God send in my divorce case matters. First off, he and his associate Nora will so gentle, clear, and thorough explaining the process of how it all works, what to expect, what it will cost, and if they thought they can make a difference in my case. After interviewing 3 offices, it was clear I was going with Stephen. Stephen is a husband and a father, and he really gave me great advice on how to approach my case, rooting in integrity and fairness. He wasn't pushing me to do what's best for me, but what was best for my family. And that showed me he really cares about humanity. He's not a yes man, but a great man! My case went as smooth as a baby's but. I only ended up paying $150 more than the original retainer you projected based on what my case would entail, which was so honorable, as many would be afraid of more bills stacking up. My case reached a settlement within 2 months, and the court approved it within 24 hours. It was honestly record time with no bumps or bruises. I can't thank Stephen enough, and I will consider him a friend for life now. I would hire him in a second again, but hopefully I won't have to to through another divorce. :). Lots of love
If you don’t believe there are good lawyers in this world that are not just out for money, then you haven’t met Stephen. I needed a good lawyer for my contentious divorce and Stephen was my number one pick based off reviews and after our consult, I knew I wanted him on my side. I liked how he was straight to the point but also offered compassion and words of encouragement when things got tough. He even told me how I should compile discovery to make it less work for him and ultimately less expensive and I really appreciated that. His billing was extremely fair for his level of work and he didn’t nickel and dime everything. He also took us down the path of least resistance and most cost effective. I never had to initiate anything or reach out asking for updates because he was always on the ball and has lightening fast response times. He did everything he could to keep me out of court and he not only did that but we settled on a number that was below my max. I’m forever grateful to Stephen for guiding me through these rough 9 months and leaving me in a good spot for the next chapter of my life. If you find yourself needing a family lawyer, please do yourself a favor and meet with Stephen first. I cant recommend him enough.
