I didn’t meet any locals here but I hear they have quite the collection
The Locals is a great little store! I love that they do a lot to get the community buzzing, in their markets. There is a good variety of local sundries here, including Gilmore Girls, Friends, Taylor Swift, Schitt's Creek, and the Office merch. Lots of other stuff too, including prints from local artists, candles, hair accessories, jewelry and toys! Worth making a stop.
Honestly the best experience! They have so many amazing items in the store but the customer service is what sells! I was so unbelievably excited to find that they had youth Taylor swift sweaters as my niece is obsessed and I’ve being looking for something t swift for her for Christmas. I was worried when they didn’t have her size but one of the lovely staff came over and I asked and she said she could MAKE them onsite as they have a shirt press! I was so shocked and excited. I choose a size small which the designed just fit on and it would be a bit tricky but the staff member was more then happy to give it a go for me! She said to come back in 20 mins which I was shocked how fast it would take! Did my shopping and went back 20 mins later and it was done! I was so happy as I know my niece will be so ecstatic! I wish I had gotten the staff members name as she was truly terrific! She even removed the price stickers off my items as they were gifts! Truly such a great experience! This has only encouraged me to shop here more!
Been dealing with The Locals for over a year and have always had a great experience. It's so wonderful to have the local support they provide and on all different platforms. Whether it's selling through them or making purchases its always an easy, great experience. The pricing is always fair and properly reflects the time, effort, and cost of materials put up for sale (from their own products to products made by various Canadian makers) . They offer such a wide variety of products, which makes shopping for gifts so easy! This is the first place to accept my products in to their store and I'll forever be grateful. How truly wonderful it is to have such a trustworthy business that is built around promoting and supporting Canadian Local businesses. Thank you for all that you do.
The Locals is a one-stop shop for locally made items that are unique and well-priced. I have been a customer and vendor with The Locals since they opened. Nerissa and her team are so friendly and a pleasure to work with! They have worked tirelessly to adapt their business during the pandemic so they can continue to support the local maker community.
