We used The Mixing Bowl to cater a work Christmas event, from the very first contact we were impressed. Chris was very responsive and answered all our questions, gave good suggestions and nothing was too much trouble for him. On the night Chris and his staff were professional, discrete and polite, the food was absolutely outstanding. Would 100% recommend The Mixing Bowl to cater your next event.
We hired The Mixing Bowl on short notice for our elopement, and they completely exceeded expectations. Chris was an amazing communicator from the start - organized, reassuring, and truly invested in making our night perfect. The food was exceptional and beautifully presented, and the soup, in particular, was a standout dish we’re still talking about. Ana, our server, was fantastic. She was attentive, warm, and on top of every detail without ever feeling intrusive. They even handled all the cleanup, leaving our kitchen spotless so we could stay fully present and enjoy the night. Both she and Chris brought such good energy into our home, making the whole evening feel effortless. They made our intimate celebration easy, stress-free, and genuinely special. We’re so glad they were part of our day and would hire Mixing Bowl again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.
Choosing the mixing bowl was the single best decision I made for hosting my recent event. The service was seamless and completely stress-free. The quality of the food was simply outstanding. Our guests were raving about it, The ingredients felt fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. If you are looking for top-tier catering where the quality matches the price, look no further. We’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Chris and the incredible team at The Mixing Bowl for several special occasions — from an intimate holiday dinner for ten, to a wedding rehearsal dinner for twenty-five and a 120-guest cocktail hour and wedding dinner reception at our property. Every experience has been beyond exceptional! Chris is incredibly professional, organized, and a total joy to work with. He’s creative, thoughtful and honest in his approach, from both advice on serving styles, portion sizes, to what’s truly needed (or not) to make an event successful. He always listens to our ideas and preferences, and ends up designing menus that reflect our tastes, heritages and the seasons. Every dish we’ve ever been served from him has been beautifully presented and SO delicious. The Mixing Bowl will always be our first choice and recommendation for any catering needs, and we can’t wait to work with Chris again for future celebrations and events!!
There is a reason Chris & the Mixing Bowl team have so many 5 star reviews! Not only do they make incredible food, but they are such wonderful people to work with! We found Chris’s business through the previous owners of Jabulani Winery when we started planning our wedding. Throughout the planning process Chris was so helpful using his diverse experience to help us plan the tastiest meal for our wedding. As two foodies, the food was the most important part of our wedding to us and Mixing Bowl certainly delivered. My husband (the groom) has a severe peanut/nut allergy and Chris was so awesome to make him feel super safe. A few guests had celiac and Chris didn’t hesitate to modify their dishes and ensure they felt safe as well. Chris gave us amazing vibes from the start and truly lived up to those expectations! Definitely a perfect wedding caterer option if you truly care about high quality food & service! * enjoying the moment so much, I forgot to get someone to take a pic of our delicious chicken dish!
