Amazing experience, from the reservation process to the trip, everything was perfect. James was an outstanding guide. Extremely knowledgeable, motivating, and very professional. He took the time to explain not only the climbing, but also the Red Rock environment and geology, which made the experience even more enriching. I couldn’t have asked for a better guide.
Really liked booking with The Mountain Guides because of how responsive and personalized of an experience it was. Our guide James took the time to ask questions to find the best type of climb for us and it was an amazing day. Both me and my husband got to ask a lot of questions and learn new things.
I booked a trip to climb in red rock and didn’t really know what to expect. I have hired a guide before and I knew that it is a cool and helpful service… I cannot say enough good things about the whole process with our guide Sharon. She is a very talented climber and a great instructor. She is really good at optimizing the whole experience and tailoring it to what you as a customer are interested in. She put us on great climbs and matched up good routes for us. On top of all of the amazing climbing… I asked Sharon to help assist me as I proposed on this trip. Not only did she take me to an area that was perfect for it… she even captured the moment with some nice pictures. All in all I recommend if you’re able to get her as a guide… then do it. You will not be disappointed.
Had an amazing day with Gary going up Dark Shadows (10 pitches) and Risky Business (4 pitches). Gary was super friendly, very knowledgeable, and great fun to climb with. He adjusted the itinerary precisely to my level and needs, and I could not have hoped for a better day climbing !
A full day of climbing in Red Rocks with Gary was seamless. We started with a half day of single pitch climbs and then went to do my first multi pitch climb. I felt totally safe doing things I never thought I would be able to do! Even though it’s early in the season, I was not too hot as Gary knows the area so well we stayed mostly in the shade the whole time. I learned so much about climbing, tried all types of routes, conquered my first multi pitch climb, and even learned how to rappel down! Highly recommend and I want to come back with the whole family!
