The Pit has been an incredible experience for our family. All three of our daughters train here, and we’ve seen amazing growth in each of them—mentally, physically, and emotionally. Our 14-year-old especially has changed in the best way. She’s learned how to overcome obstacles, push through challenges, and carry herself with more confidence and assertiveness. The strength and self-belief she’s gained have translated into her everyday life, not just on the mat. The coaches truly care about the kids and focus on building strong character along with physical skill. We’re so grateful to be part of this community and highly recommend The Pit Martial Arts Boise to any parent looking to help their child grow from the inside out.
We highly recommend The PIT for boys and girls! This gym runs a solid program for after school Hawaiian Kempo kickboxing. They have a quarterly schedule but you can join anytime. My favorite part? Kids don't automatically promote to their next belt. It takes participation, belt level knowledge and hard work. Lastly, if you're on the fence you can try a class for free. 👍🏼
This kickboxing is absolutely amazing!!! My son has been so exciting and it’s so fun. As a father, I truly appreciate all coaches. If this is something that you enjoy or as well as your child, then this is the right company to pick anywhere in Idaho. They are absolutely number one best coaches for all of us. I highly recommend you use this company as the amazing ability to have so much fun and excitement. They teach so many great things you will truly enjoy but many many of us enjoy as well.
I joined The Pit in 2021 & haven’t looked back since. The pit isn’t just a gym to train at, it’s a tight knit community of people who uplift & support each other. Together we create an environment where everyone can thrive and reach our full potential. But this would not be possible without our amazing coaches, Cruz & Sophie. Your expertise & dedication to us help shape us to be skilled & confident individuals on and off the mat. THANK YOU for your countless hours of dedication & support 💗 I would recommend this gym for the whole family, whether you’re looking to level up your fitness , learn a new skill, or make new friends, they have something for everyone. It’s never too late to be the best version of yourself.
The PIT is awesome! Cruz and Sophie (and everyone else) go out of their way to get to know you if you are new. They have created a very friendly family-like environment that I'm proud to be a part of. I'm 37 years old and just starting BJJ. I took a free trial class in February '25 and have been going a few times a week most weeks ever since. I was pretty nervous about getting into something I had little to no experience with but Cruz and Sophie made sure I felt comfortable and was never put into a position where I could get hurt. My goals when starting were fitness, confidence, and stress management. I'm happy to report that I'm progressing on all fronts! I'm really stoked to be part of this community and I could go on and on about how great this gym is. If you are unsure, take a free class and give it a shot. You won't regret it.
