My daughter and I recently had the pleasure of attending a beginner pottery wheel throwing class at Treasure Coast Pottery, and it was an incredibly rewarding experience. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the warm and welcoming atmosphere fostered by the owner, Cathleen, and the instructor, Rob. Cathleen has curated a space that feels both inspiring and comfortable, perfect for creatives of all levels. Her passion for pottery and dedication to providing a positive learning environment is evident throughout the studio. Rob, the instructor, is not only skilled in the art of pottery but also excels as a teacher. His patience and clear, step-by-step instructions made the class accessible and enjoyable, even for someone with no prior experience like my daughter. Rob took the time to demonstrate each technique clearly before allowing us to try it ourselves, offering guidance and encouragement along the way. The class was well-structured, starting with the basics of centering clay on the wheel and gradually moving towards more complex techniques. Rob’s expertise and approachable teaching style made it easy to follow along and feel confident in our progress. Overall, the beginner pottery wheel throwing class at Treasure Coast Pottery is a fantastic introduction to the art of pottery. 10,000 stars.. Treasure Coast Pottery has become an absolute fuel to my passion for pottery. Cathleen the owner is beyond amazing and is always a huge help and extremely inspiring and knowledgeable. Rob is hilarious and always giving me the the best lessons. Suggest the try it classes, 6 week class with rob, and hand building is also huge here. Highly suggest to anyone looking into it!
Treasure Coast Pottery is a wonderful place to try and learn ceramics. The instructors are very experienced, kind, and knowledgeable of their crafts and make the classes a very fun and memorable experience. Cathleen, the owner, is an incredible instructor herself and is always willing to help those around her. The members are also so supportive and make up a great community. TCP is truly a blessing to the art community of Port Saint Lucie, and I highly recommend stopping by!!
Went with a group of friends for a pottery class. There were nine of us. Our art instructor Cathleen was very patient, friendly and knowledgeable We had a lot of fun and each of us made a very nice pottery piece ..We still have to go back to paint them. It was a great experience. Can not wait to see those plates completed. I am adding my review with the final look of my creations. Look great ! I am really happy with them! Great addition for my room decoration.
Great kid classes. My kiddos had a blast and made some really nice stuff! I think its great for kids to have the hands-on experience. They’re listening to the teacher, learning a new skill, and I think clay work really grounds and settles people. 10/10 i tell everyone about them. I’ll have to update my review with better pictures when the kids other projects are done.
