We went to trucks and taps and tried the limpias and more food truck. My wife and I tried the loco moco and the pork limpias. The gravey had great flavor and the beef patty was great when combined with eh gravey and the egg. The macaroni salad was also full of flavor. The limpias was chocked full of meat and veggies. The sweet chili sauce was a great pair of for the limpias.
If you love the adventure of food trucks you have to try this place. The night we went it was 3 kids Lobster & The Modern Waffle, The Red Lion - (english food), New Orleans Authentic Snowballs, and Izzy's Pizza Bus along with a full, permanent bar. We sampled from different trucks. It was delicious. Even though it was busy we found a table and they keep the place clean.
5 stars for the concept, vibes and service. 4 stars for the food. The weather was perfect to enjoy our experience dining outdoors here. We were on a double date, so it was the perfect spot to go so that we could each order whatever we wanted. The 3 resident trucks were there and all offered something to satisfy our cravings. The bar in the middle was awesome. Even better were the people working there. Two in our party enjoyed a beer and the other two had their cocktails. Our signature cocktails were tasty, but there wasn’t much in them for the cost. Mine was mostly ice, maybe 3-4 sips and it was gone. Loved it, nonetheless! I was excited to try the fish and chips because it’s one of my favorite things to eat and I’ve tried them all over town. Sad to report these were probably some of the most disappointing that I’ve had in Omaha. You can probably tell by the photo that they weren’t great. They seemed overcooked or perhaps the grease just needed to be changed. But the real miss was flavor—there was none. Lacked some serious seasoning in the batter. The steak fries we got with them were delicious though! Some ordered with the curry seasoning and some ordered without—both were hits with our group. The biggest reason we came here was to try the lobster roll. Husband is a huge lobster roll guy, and unfortunately there just aren’t many options to try in Omaha. He liked this one pretty well! Our whole group thought they were good—but the consensus was that they needed to be warmer. They weren’t cold and they weren’t hot, so it was a little confusing. But the large chunks of lobster made it worth the price. We want to come back when there is more of a variety. I’ve heard great things about other food trucks that come through. Major props to who seemed to be a manager there. He came around to each table and personally invited us to celebrate their two year anniversary in a couple of weeks. We hope to be there!
Showed up for some Sunday brunch. It's a neat concept. They have resident trucks and outside vendors. The bar sits right in the middle and I got myself a blood orange mimosa for $6. Prices seem to be fairly average for the omaha area on alcohol. The waffle truck was the only one open for brunch selection and they had plenty to offer. I got the waffle flight which gave you a sampling of 4 different varieties. All in all it was a 30ish dollar brunch for two. We will return sometime for the evening to explore more truck options.
Such a cool concept to repurpose an old Sonic. Great did and drink selection with a chill vibe. Bar staff was super friendly and the food from the trucks were top notch! Check it out before it gets too cold!!!
