In short, these are the best possible people to work with in the area bar none. From the start of our journey with a roof inspection of the property we wanted to buy, working with us on concessions communication, and then finally the complete tear and installation of our new roof UBL Roofing made us feel taken care of the entire way. If we ever have any need of roofing, gutters, decks, windows, or historic restoration our first call will be to UBL simply because of both the quality of the work and trust we have in them. I’m on the top floor of our condo building, and last week a small rainstorm sent water streaming into our apartment. I called UBL in a panic, and Claudia reassured me over the phone that they’d help get everything under control. The next day, James inspected our unit with a thermal imaging camera to identify leaks, checked the roof and siding, and even brought a drone for better visibility. A day or two later, they sent over a full repair plan. They’re busy, but they watched the weather and made sure they could get the work done before the next storm. A crew of four came by, finished everything in half a day, and left the roof and our building cleaner than they found it. James called the day after the repairs, during the next rainstorm, to make sure everything was still dry in our unit (it was!). It’s been a pleasure working with the whole UBL team: solid work on a great timeline at fair prices.
I had an issue with shingles on my roof which were detached because of a defect. James from UBL came out and explained what was wrong and also identified other minor issues which he clearly explained to me as to what the issues were. Claudia and James were also super easy to schedule with and took a lot of time to explain what the issue was and even explain the overall design of my roof. Will definitely work with them in the future too !

Their inspection ended up saving me from a bad investment and potentially serious issues later on. What I appreciated most was how transparent they were about pricing and how thorough they were before giving any estimates. Each step of the workorder estimate was priced out with explanation, making it simple to compare to other roofing estimates if trying to shop around. In my experience, a lot of companies start low and add costs later, but James made it clear that he works hard to avoid that. UBL Roofing is reliable, responsive, and clearly takes pride in their work. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who wants an honest and detailed assessment from people who know what they are doing.
UBL Roofing did an excellent job fixing the roof on our Jersey City home. James and Claudia were prompt, professional, and took the time to explain everything thoroughly from the owner’s perspective so I fully understood what needed to be done. Since I’m leasing out the property, there were some extra steps involved with coordinating access with my tenant, and they handled it all with patience and clear communication.
