I had an issue with my phone not charging. After taking it to 2 different repair shops and both telling me nothing was inside my port I decided UBreakiFix was my last hope...I walk in handed the gentleman my phone and in 5 minutes he came back and said all fixed. There WAS something in the port! He cleaned it out and boom right back to charging. I appreciate the fast and reliable care I received and ill only be coming here from now on.
I was suppose to have my device that back the same day. They later changed that to 3-5 days, and I had even provided them with the parts to fix the device. It’s very unacceptable. I got my controller back from them and the entire thing doesn’t even work. I don’t know what the hell they did to it, but they screwed it up completely. The left thumb stick has horrible drift and right one won’t go past 50% and the dpad is stuck to up. Makes this controller unplayable and paperweight. Not to mention they damaged The ribbon connectors for the board Trying to get reimburse for a new controller and parts. Sent that controller to get fixed and this is what they said: Your device is next in line. During our inspection, we found severe damage on the circuit board from a previous joystick installation attempt. Please see the attached image. The main issue is that several solder pads are missing, so the joystick connections will need to be rebuilt. This requires microsoldering and a fair amount of time and here is the pic
The drop off was efficient and the cost of diagnosing the problem was reasonable. They identified the problem and got back to me within hours which was impressive. They ordered a new OEM battery and had it installed, which fixed the problem. The whole process took 5 days which was also impressive. The only glitch was they managed to put a couple of scratches on the top of the laptop. To be really top notch they need to be more careful with preserving the appearance of their customers equipment.
Grant C at the ubreakifix on McKnight Rd provided top notch customer service - extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly/welcoming (even close to the store’s closing time). He replaced my iPhone 16 pro screen in under 20 minutes. Excellent service across the board. Will come back.
