Not actually accessible despite it being labeled as such. The walkways are super tight and covered in glass and other fragile items. Also so overpriced but that’s a lesser issue to them being able to have an accessible label.
I had a very disappointing experience at this store today, Sunday at around 1:40pm. I visited for the first time with a friend, and almost immediately, we felt we were being followed by the staff. Even though there were plenty of other customers, it seemed like we were constantly being watched and bothered. While I was looking at a VS bag I wanted, my friend was holding it for me when a worker with black hair and piercings snatched it out of their hand and said, "I'll take this up front for you," giving us a dirty look. She didn't ask if that was okay, even though I was still looking and considering the item. It felt like she assumed we were going to leave without paying, which is completely unfounded. After she did that we continued to shop, but felt more uncomfortable because another worker with blonde hair started following us. I'm not sure if this treatment was racial profiling or something else, but it was unacceptable. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I will not be returning. Save your money.
Went to ask if they buy luxury designer bags (LV, Gucci etc.) and was told no as they cater to a different type of clientele and was directed to a different second hand store. As I was walking out, I decided to check out the thrift store that is on the other side of the clothing section, and an older Caucasian lady followed my son and I all over the store. At first I thought she was just wandering around but nope, every corner I turn to, that lady was standing behind or really close to us. She thought we’re there to steal—and she’s not even trying to hide it. There are many other people in there, but she didn’t follow them. I feel like she did it cause of our skin tone. What an ignorant racist! If you’re a person of color, avoid their thrift shop. That lady thinks we’re all just out there trying to steal her musty smelling junk.
They sell racist “antiques”. I saw a blackface caricature doll and said it shouldn’t be sold in store it needs to be in a museum or something. They looked at me like it wasn’t serious and said it’s just a doll and then asked me if I wanted to buy it??? You know better. I added a picture of it in the photos.
How do you get a 4 star but a guest who is unsure if they want to ever go back. Have a lady at the register who makes you feel as unwelcome as she can. Honestly I visit Reno yearly and love to get some thrifting done. Uncle junkee has a ton of vintage fabrics and laces. The ladies at the booth were helpful and the treasure hunt was a blast. Then I reach the check out. Anyways as long as you don’t mind a rude ending the place is full of treasures making it super fun
