The service I received from Adrian when purchasing an Opal for my wife was definitely worth 5 stars. He was very personable and helpful and explained the different opals and their qualities to help me make an informed decision. I live in Canada now and he was also very helpful with claiming the sales tax and making that process as simple as possible. I would highly recommend to others looking to buy opals in Adelaide. Dean
Such a great Aussie owned and made store, with almost every piece made entirely in house, with really good prices, quality and people. Adrian and the rest of the team were so helpful and informative with everything from helping pick out a piece to providing a geological background of the different stone types and why and how they occurred. I have seen the opalised plesiosaur fossils when walking past many a time, but never knew they have a mini museum under the shop, replicating the mines and work stations that actually create the pieces. Well worth the visit even to just admire the stones, chat to the team and have a look at the museum!
We had the most amazing time buying from Unique Opal Mine. We visited twice over a 3 day visit to Adelaide and we couldn’t have been made more welcome. At no point did we feel rushed or pressurised and we came away with the most exquisite opal ring. The ring was sized super-quickly as we didn’t make our final decision until the morning before our afternoon flight back to Sydney. We had contact with Adrian. He was so nice and trustworthy! We paid in advance, and let the rings be send to the Netherlands. He emailed the certificates and the rings arrived as they were, but changed to the right size. Super store!!
While on vacation in Adelaide, we wanted to take some souvenirs and gifts with us to Algeria. And we made the best choice by coming here. We were very well received and advised. Tim was Very attentive to our needs and offered us exactly what we wanted. It's also more than just a jewelry purchase; it's a whole experience, as you can take a peek into a kind of small mine under the store to see how opal mining is actually done. I highly recommend it!
