The spa was very clean and tranquil. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We did the one hour thermal circuit, and it was a perfect way to relax and recharge before the start of the week.
We had a fantastic and relaxing experience at Uppliva. It has everything you need for a true nordic circuit experience and it is beautifully designed and decorated. Such a relaxing and calm vibe. Was not crowded at all when we went on a Sunday afternoon, which cannot be said about other nordic spas in the area. Will be back again and again!
It was a nice spa overall. But we were 3 guys coming for a steamy sauna followed by an icy cold plunge. We did not get either. The sauna was luke warm, we stayed in for 30 minutes and were not sweating. The ice bath was set at 15 degrees which is VERY tolerable.You're not struggling at all. The location is well set up, the staff is nice and the amenities are adequate. BUT we will still be looking for a true HOT sauna and COLD plunge in Ottawa.
Quiet & peaceful. Not busy like the big spas. Everything you need — hot & dry saunas, cold plunge, lounge area, drink bar, showers, lockers, outdoor patio. Great for solo spa goers. Absolutely going back!
Uppliva Sauna & Steam offers a truly rejuvenating experience that transports you to the heart of Nordic tradition. The Nordic Circuit was a perfect blend of relaxation and refreshment—starting with the warm cedar sauna, followed by cooling off with invigorating rain showers and the refreshing plunge pool. The intimate atmosphere made it feel personal, even with other guests around. The addition of herbal tea and citrus water was a nice touch, and the spa package options, including massages and facials, made the visit even more special. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind, refresh, and recharge!
