Super cool place for a girls night out or any special occasions. No reservations so plan ahead took about 30 mins to be seated inside on a Saturday evening not bad at all. Service and food was excellent. If you’re a vegetarian then request for white rice and black beans. The Vida Bowel was delicious with lots of veggies, rice, beans, pico, topped with avocado. Portion size was good too. The passion fruit non alcoholic daiquiri was great. I would recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for Mexican food.
I have two allergies: Gluten and red meat from a tick bite in Tennessee. So eating out can be difficult. Not only does my life depend on restaurants and staff I carry a epi pen every where I go. I came to Vida because I saw they have chicken tamales on there menu. Being allergic to red meat or pork i rarely can eat tamales. So, I took advantage of this opportunity to have chicken tamales. Our server was Jorge from Greenville, SC.. I normal have to interview every server at restaurants but not this time. He was very professional, attentive, and took charge to make sure I did not get gluten or red meat with cross-contamination. I felt at ease while there with assurance I would not need my epi pen or hospital. The chicken tamales were delicious with the black beans with Mexican cheese and rice. I also had ice cream with coconut, vanilla, strawberry drizzled with a mint leaf on top. I left word that if the owner would buy a dedicated frier for the chips and other fried foods for gluten allergy it would pay for its self fast. Most Mexican restaurants don't have one so this restaurant would get a flood of new customers. Would I recommend this restaurant? Absolutely Would I return? Absolutely When the dedicated frier is here I will personally come back to do a new review to get the word out.
Vanessa was our server/host, she was extremely accommodating and ensured we were not in need of anything. We were a party of 13-14 people celebrating a birthday; and she kept our drinks full and our meals staggered out in a timely fashion; from appetizers to main course. Made the experience memorable and seamless for us all. The food was amazing and the drinks were fantastic. Atmosphere was very relaxing with live saxophone playing in the background. We had the deluxe fajitas, tiramisu expresso martini, mango majito and the brisket empanadas, of which all was delicious! The venue was very well kept, clean and inviting.
Excellent experience from start to finish. The food and sides were exquisite. Gustavo, our server, was amazing and made excellent recommendations. One detail that truly stood out was that he spoke with the chef to prepare grilled broccoli and chicken without seasoning for our dog, who was very happy enjoying his meal. We felt extremely comfortable the entire time. We will definitely be back. Thank you for such wonderful service!
I can’t get enough of this place! the ambiance, the food, the service 10/10. everytime we come we make sure we go to Cesar’s section. we love his hospitality and service. he truly has a passion for what he does. I can’t rave enough about him. he made my experience along with my family’s 10 x better. he always made sure we were taken care of, drinks were replenished and we genuinely were enjoying our time at Vida Cocina. he’s a great representation of this restaurant. I’ll definitely recommend this place to family and friends!
