The most AMAZING gallery in Winston bar none!! Toni is very friendly and intentional about the curation of her pieces. There is a really wide variety of art available in the shop to feast your eyes on from sculptural pieces, prints, paintings and more! I just bought a few items and when a sculptural plant wasn’t available in the color I had chose online, Toni immediately set about asking my opinion on a replacement and it turned out better than my original selection! Great art in a fun inviting space is rare, but rarer still is the customer service offered by Visual Index. Do yourself a favor and spend just 5 minutes here and you won’t be disappointed!
Amazing art, great local knowledge and recommendations. I had to come back and purchase a piece I fell in love with. I will absolutely keep their website bookmarked for future purchases and visit again next time I’m in town!!
Having moved to Winston-Salem, from Austin, I was a little leary of how the art scene would be, but I have been so happy to discover that art in Winston is thriving! Visual Index is a perfect example. The collection of art to choose from is always fresh and innovative, and the staff are always so helpful. Visual Arts is our first stop for art! It's also our go-to place for gifts!
This shop is an absolute treasure. Toni has done such an amazing job of curating both local and national artists and artisans, and having gifts, jewelry, art, and handmade goods available at a number of price points. It is my go-to for wedding gifts, holiday gifts, housewarming presents, etc. Recently I bought MYSELF a gift, after admiring it for ages, and I'm so delighted to have a piece of her shop now hanging in my home!
I love shopping at Visual Index. Whether picking up a gift, a treat for myself, or just browsing, it is always an absolute delight. The shop has such a calm and creative vibe. There are so many beautiful and unusual works of art. The owner and staff are always friendly and fun. I can shop in pretty much any price range for most any occasion. Their selection includes hanging art, functional items including pottery, cards and journals, accessories, jewelry, and so many unexpected things. Visual Index is an absolute must when in Winston-Salem.
