Visited Brisbane and wanted to try Japanese food. This restaurant delivered great tasting food, fast service and looked great. They offer private dining rooms for bigger groups and authentic Japanese dining for a full experience. You order your food from a screen in your booth so you can see what all the food looks like. Prices are visible so you know what you are paying and can see the total as you go. You have to be careful if you make a mistake to let a staff member know as the food comes out really quick. The food was fresh and the scallop and salmon sashimi were my favourite. You have to try the Chicken Karaage and the soft shell crab, they were amazing. I think we tried half the menu. The only thing was as we weee is booths thy were fairly closed off so it got a bit hot with 4 adults sitting. Other than that it’s a great restaurant to try Japanese food.
We visited Wagaya with our work team and had a great time. The BYO wine option was a bonus, the food was excellent, and everything was well presented and full of flavour. The atmosphere was very chilled and welcoming, which made it ideal for a large group. Service was smooth and accommodating, and the night ran effortlessly. A great spot for team dinners or group gatherings highly recommended.
Located 1st floor, with lift access. The entrance is grand with sofa for Customers to sit and wait. 2 staff serving customers. The whole restaurant is big and plenty of seats. However, customers still need to wait for seated even not many customers. The order system is out-dated. Order send out one by one. In other word, when ramen is choose and confirmed, it will send out, after that, order wine will repeat same process. If order 20 items, process repeat and order confirm and send out 20 times. The dining area tends to be dark, can't see clearly on food served. The food did not taste good. The curry udon only have 3 pieces of beef, and smelly. Not well prepared. Curry taste sweet, and not fragance.
Authentic Japanese flavors in every bite. The wagyu beef pairs perfectly with rice, so do yourself a favor and order an extra bowl 🍚 Fresh, beautiful sushi and cozy semi private booths make it a place you will want to visit again. Book early, come hungry, and enjoy every moment. They also offer BYO, which makes it a great choice for parties and celebrations 🥂 Lunch and dinner menus are different, so it is worth visiting at both times.
It’s been many years since my last visit to this establishment (back in 2011!). So I decided to go for dinner tonight. The seating and atmosphere is pretty much the same. Food prices have of course increased. You still order through a tablet! There’s hardly any staff interaction, besides when they bring you the food. Our dirty plates weren’t collected until when we were about to leave. As for food quality, I think there are other Japanese restaurants that taste better. For the price, I’d prefer to dine elsewhere. The drinks are well priced though.
