Fabulous selection of Designer Sisal & Wool Carpet and Opus Cork Tiles
I found this company to be difficult to deal with (slow) and not competitive or transparent in their pricing. I went in for a small carpet install. They were good at showing me carpets and helping me choose the right one, and were friendly. However, when it came time to give me a price, they kept changing the cost of the installation in unofficial back-of-the envelope quotes with no justification. Then, they said they’d need to come measure to give me a firm quote (this is fair). It took them a week to come to my house to measure and another week to send me a quote. I called in twice to check on when I’d actually get the quote and they brushed me off as if they were annoyed, saying at first that I’d get it on Monday but then changing that to an indefinite time period because the only person who could put together the quote was out sick. No apologies were offered for the delay. The official quote they sent me was the highest of all the prices they’d given me, was not itemized so I couldn’t tell what was labor and what was materials, and was significantly (44%) higher than the company I ended up going with. This made no sense because I know based on other quotes that the square footage of my area was actually less than what we had unofficially estimated. When they kept changing the price with no justification it felt like they were taking advantage of me; I didn’t like that. They were also very slow in getting me the quote. These are the reasons for only 2 stars.
Had a great experience. They had everything that we wanted to see and Hailey was so helpful. She was very knowledgeable in the different products and answered all of our questions. Very honest family business.
Over the past 20 years, we have used Waldo Bowers to buy several wall to wall carpets & installations. Each time, they provided impeccable service and pricing. We have been very happy with the quality and choices of the various carpets. I would highly recommend this family business for any flooring needs: wood floors, carpet, etc. VERY EASY TO WORK WITH, TOO!!!!!
Excellent work, great quality, professional, and friendly staff and owners. It is a local business and has been around for years. I just can't say enough good things about this business. My floors look beautiful and I love them. I think, "The place to go in the Sacramento Area."
