Everything was perfect!!! She helped out tremendously and accommodated us when I was deployed overseas and was trying to get the planning done. She made it very simple and easy and I didn't have to worry about a thing! Highly HIGHLY recommend!
Tonya is so well organized and passionate about her work she brought some much life and adventure to our wedding. Tonya didnt know anything about a norse pagan wedding but she did so much research that I actually learned somethings from her Shawn her husband has to be the best DJ I have ever seen he had us dance all night till we dropped love these people hope they can make your special day as wonderful as ours
Tonya and her team were beyond amazing. To say they helped with our wedding would be an understatement - we would have been dead in the water without them. Tonya is unbelievably kind, communicative, decisive, and talented. She went out of her way to make my partner and I feel stress-free and accommodated every step of the way. My partner and I had a short engagement and when we hired Tonya and her team, we were so lost and terrified that we were doing everything wrong. Tonya was able to find us people to tailor our wedding outfits last minute, to get the perfect linens for our wedding, to coordinate both our non-professional friends who were doing our florals, photography, and cake and our professional vendors with grace, and was even able to save us money and help us navigate the contracts we otherwise could not have understood. The chuppah and photobooth Tonya organized were so perfect and added so much to the wedding. She even coordinated our rehearsal dinner for us and it went off perfectly. Before we had Tonya, my partner cried every day from how stressed they were and they begged me to call off the wedding and just elope with them, and I stayed the course with the grim determination of a person sentenced to death row. Once we hired her, my partner would get off the phone with her totally confident and centered and I got to say my favorite phrases - “I’m sure Tonya is on it” and “I don’t know, but you can ask Tonya” - every time my friends who were working the wedding had a question I had no idea how to answer. She took all of the scary, confusing, and hard parts off our plates so we could focus on the parts that were fun and allowed us to show our love for each other and our families and friends who came to celebrate with us. She never made us feel bad for being underprepared - even for things we were beating ourselves up about procrastinating on. She just helped us figure out a way through it. Even when my partner’s mom was feeling left out and anxious that things were happening without her, Tonya was able to help her understand how loved, needed, and important she was. Our guests had the most amazing time at our wedding - and so did we. So many of them even said it was the best wedding they’d ever been to. But the best part for me was this: in the months leading up to the wedding, my partner was convinced they were going to have a panic attack at the rehearsal dinner and the wedding and have to hide in the bathroom all night, but at both events, they were out and smiling and laughing all night, dancing with me and our friends. I’ve barely ever seen them so happy. It was the greatest gift in the world that all our friends and family got to see and spend time with the wonderful person I love so much, the way I get to see them: silly, joyful, and smiling. We owe so much of that to Tonya and her incredibly friendly, organized, and wonderful team and their many, many years of experience. Tonya promised my partner they wouldn’t have a panic attack and, like every other promise she made, she followed through and then some. We can’t recommend them highly enough!
If you're looking for someone who will go above and beyond to make your wedding day flawless—look no further than Tonya and her incredible team at Weddings of Pittsburgh. Tonya didn’t just meet expectations… she exceeded them at every turn. She had answers to questions I hadn’t even thought to ask yet. Every decoration idea I had, she took and elevated it to a whole new level of elegance and wow-factor. Her attention to detail was unmatched, and my guests were blown away by how seamless, thoughtful, and accommodating she was throughout the entire day. Calling her a “service provider” doesn’t even scratch the surface—Tonya is a wedding-day wizard, a miracle worker, and truly, a blessing. I cannot recommend her highly enough. If you're getting married, hire her. You will not regret it. Weddings of Pittsburgh is the real deal.
I reached out to Tonya in May 2023 for a wedding date in October 2024. We spent 18 months getting to know each other, phone calls every month, check up texts just to see how I'm doing and handling everything, she really became a friend throughout the whole process. I originally contacted Tonya just for rentals (centerpieces, stages, linens, etc.), but shortly after, I added her on as my wedding planner and week of coordinator. When I tell you her and her team were such a blessing. Setup and takedown were quick and efficient, I know I had her running all over the place the day of but she did it proudly and she did it gracefully and I'm so thankful I had her by my side! When I fell ill before the reception, she kept the boat sailing smoothly and helped me recover, with no one the wiser. She handled all of the contact between my vendors so I didn't have to lift a finger, she coordinated the band/dj setup times, the cake drop off. She took care of sending food and cake to our hotel room so we wouldn't miss out on anything. I have nothing but high praises and love for Tonya. She not only made my wedding day so so special, but she made sure to take care of me every day leading up to it (and with 18 months, that's a lot of days!).💙
