We had a wonderful day today, visiting the West Chelsea Contemporary Gallery, in Austin. We came with intensions of purchasing one artwork but eventually left with three. Working with Derek Boone was so informative and a great pleasure. I'm assuming that we will be back real soon.
The West Chelsea Contemporary Art Museum is a must-visit for art enthusiasts! 🎨 With striking exhibits and thought-provoking installations, it’s easy to spend hours exploring. Located in a vibrant area with other galleries and spots within walking distance, it’s perfect for an inspiring and immersive art experience.
ADA wheelchair accessible...Derek Boone was very knowledgeable about all the art shown today. You do not feel rushed or pushed into buying items here. The space is modern and easy to navigate. A follow up email from Derek was much appreciated about the piece that I am still interested in with details from the artist. Well recommended as a galley. Photos included.
West Chelsea Contemporary Art is in progress and prepping for a new exhibit to debut on Friday, 30August! There will be Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró and other incredible art. Derek is knowledgeable about every artist and Monica welcomes you with a warm smile into the gallery. What I loved as I walked up the steps to the entrance, I noticed that each step has a painted stencil that reads: She 's Beautiful. She's A Texan. That slogan needs to be on a ballcap/tshirt/decal for a pickup truck. Or Jeep.
My daughter and I stumbled upon this gallery while experiencing the antique gallery next door. I am so GRATEFUL that we did ❤️ I purchased some "new to me" art by artist Tara McPherson and I am IN LOVE 🩵 Victoria Elida was our Art Consultant and she was very knowledgeable and helpful in regards to our tastes 🩵🩷 We will be experiencing the new collection/exhibit next weekend for sure 🥰
