Five stars for Christina P. and the West Elm Design Team! Christina was exceptionally professional and punctual for our design consultation. She made the process so easy by breaking down fabrics, colors, and layout options in a way that made sense for our space. She even helped us pick the perfect carpets to tie everything together. We walked away with a fun, homey plan that we absolutely love. Thank you, Christina!
I love the furniture I ordered…however…the delivery system is ridiculous and convoluted. I moved and was furnishing an entire home. I had multiple orders. Be aware that the items in your order are tied to one another for delivery. You can split the order once if the items are ready at least a month apart from each other. Unfortunately, I have a couch that keeps getting back ordered. It is 4 months out from the order date. I called customer service and offered to pay extra delivery to have the items that are ready and sitting at the warehouse delivered. They said they can’t do that. So this couch could keep getting back ordered and my other items are held hostage!
This is regarding an online order. West Elm made me wait weeks and weeks longer for delivery than originally stated. Then the day before they told me some of my items were no longer available!! Then why was I waiting all this time for them? Completely unsatisfied. In their email they didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience.

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive without being pushy — they really took the time to understand my style and helped me find pieces that worked perfectly for my space. The quality of the furniture and home decor is outstanding — modern, sustainable, and thoughtfully made. I especially appreciated their commitment to ethical sourcing and eco-friendly options. Delivery was smooth, and everything arrived in perfect condition. Whether you're just browsing for ideas or looking to furnish an entire room, West Elm San Diego is a go-to destination for stylish, high-quality pieces and exceptional service. I highly recommend Brian as he was incredibly helpful and made the whole process smooth and enjoyable!
Simply put, Jonathan Price (Sales Associate) is an outstanding human. He really goes out of his way to ensure that you feel comfortable with whatever it is that your planning on purchasing. He’ll even move around furniture in the store for you so that you can get a visual understanding of your imagination! You got a question, he’s got an answer. Cool dude. Also wanted to give a shout out to Duncan Frantz, the General Manager. Such a cool, calm and collective dude. He’ll definitely assist you in whatever it is that your interested in and won’t pressure you into getting things you don’t need. I appreciate your assistance, Duncan. As for the store, so aesthetically pleasing in there. I could walk around for hours in there and not get tired of it. It’s clean, well organized and smells great. Most of the negative reviews that I’m seeing people post on here are out of the stores hands. Shipping, shipping, shipping. That’s all I’m hearing. I’m sure that when you sit down with these fine people, they TELL you of the shipping dates and that if it’s delayed shipping due to high demand or that logistics is going through a tough time at the moment, than that’s on the customer. Understand that! Be flexible. Before coming to these types of stores, have a plan and have patience. This isn’t something you can just walk in and walk out in a matter of minutes.
