Wholegreen Bakery is special because they genuinely care. Not in a scripted hospitality way, you can actually feel it. The service is consistently amazing, and the food is incredible every single time. Gluten free or not, it’s just great food. Nicole and Summer looked after me today and were thoughtful, warm and attentive, exactly the kind of people who make you want to come back. But let's face it, when they make GF taste so good, there's no keeping me away. This place gets it right. Highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing cakes and desserts. They have a large range of gluten free baguettes and fresh bread and leaves. The lemon meringue tart was glorious, not too sweet and was dairy free too! I was so happy. It was scrumptious. The rasberry brownie was moist and moreish too. My friend ate the pork sausage roll and said it was very good. Nice coffee too. Busy place but we easily found a seat at lunch time.
Gluten-free gluten-free gluten-free did I mention this place is gluten-free... And I mean everything is gluten-free on the menu unlike some cafes where the gluten-free option is a piece of toast. And gluten-free does not mean vegan either so there are meat options such as yummy sausage rolls and meat pies. Ticks all the boxes! Coffee was also yummy 😋. This was the only place like it that we found in the Sydney centre city area. Also had a nice open plan seating area to enjoy your meal. Doesn't feel like you are enjoying your neighbours food at the same time you are trying to enjoy yours. Ambience was good with light volume background music playing allowing you to comfortably enjoy conversation with each other. Highly recommend this place to anybody really wanting good food & good coffee. 👌👌👌
Fantastic to have a fully coeliac option in the city. First time here and I will be back for sure!! Yes the prices are higher than your average cafe but this is in the middle of Sydney city and fully gluten free so i imagine the overheads would be higher. Either way, the food tastes amazing, sausage roll was my highlight. The side salad was fresh and tasty too (plus the Portuguese tart I had as a dessert was amazing) I see a few older reviews about rude staff but this was not my experience. The owner/management must have corrected this behavior, when I walked in I was greeted with smiles and friendly conversation. One particular staff member was fantastic with my young daughter. Great work guys, I’ll be back!
Wholegreen Bakery is a real gem! The staff are very friendly and welcoming, always serving with a smile. Every product is gluten-free and absolutely delicious. Yummy Portuguese tart, sandwiches all perfect . Their coffee, especially the flat white, is phenomenal as well as their black coffee. They’ve delicious loose tea for tea lovers as well. Highly recommend!
