This was an absolutely FANTASTIC experience. Adrian was so knowledgeable and made sure everyone was put at ease, particularly those of us who knew very little or nothing about wine tasting. To taste so many different wines correctly, made me think twice about what to choose going forward, and not to think that cheap is best. You only get what you pay for and these wines are among the best I have tasted. It was a 5 hour experience which I would certainly do again. There was time to write notes and a follow up email to confirm what the costings were and what the wines were. There was no pressure selling at all but I will be looking to purchase from Wine Unearthed. I would certainly recommend anyone who loves wine to attend one of these functions, and those who are perhaps not a big fan, to attend too because you might just learn something very interesting.
I attended the Liverpool event with my husband and we had a fantastic day. Adrian was very informative but made it fun and we had a lovely three course meal at lunch time. I learned a lot about wine and surprised myself with wines I thought I didn't like. I would highly recommend this wine tasting course, fab day.
WINE UNEARTHED - LIVERPOOL I first attended a Vine to wine tasting day in January 2019 with my sister. This particular tasting was tailored and vegan friendly. We had a great day learning bout the 15 different wines followed by a port with the host Adrian who is extremely knowledgeable . I then returned in November 2019 for another wine tasting, This time with a group of friends we attended the World of Wine tasting. Which was every bit as enjoyable as the first tasting. I attended for a third time in March 2020... Vine to wine tasting day (this time not tailored to vegans) me and my sister enjoyed the day as always. No tasting has been the same Adrian is an amazing host with a very impressive knowledge of all the wines on offer. The day itself is very informative yet not pretentious Adrian makes it really fun. The tastings tend to have a varied age range. I would Highly recommend attending a tasting course it is an unforgettable day out, one in which I will most definitely be repeating for a 4th time. The tastings are excellent value for money, Adrian hand picks a great selection of 15 quality wines for the day which includes a wonderful 3 course meal and a further 3 wines to accompany your lunch. Adrian était un hôte formidable et un conteur né! Un point à noter, il m'a permis de repousser la date de notre dégustation à plusieurs reprises pour des raisons personnelles, bien au-delà de la date d'expiration du bon. C'était un geste très apprécié et je suis sûr que cela n'aurait pas été offert par beaucoup d'autres entreprises. Les vins dégustés le jour même allaient de passables à fantastiques et le style informatif et divertissant d'Adrian nous a vraiment aidés à en apprécier les nuances. Les grands rouges après le déjeuner ont été les points forts pour moi, ainsi que la découverte d'un délicieux porto blanc, mais je les ai tous appréciés, tout comme le processus de dégustation. Certainement pas un événement au style corporatif guindé, la capacité d'Adrian à parler naturellement et avec fluidité de n'importe quel aspect du vin, y compris répondre à une variété de questions, a vraiment élevé l'événement au-delà de l'expérience typique, scriptée, de dégustation de vin. Recommandé.
I received a Wine Unearthed gift voucher as a Christmas present (for two people!) and we attended the recent event in Liverpool. We were a little nervous and unsure what to expect as we are certainly not wine connoisseurs just a couple who enjoy drinking wine! Our host Adrian was most welcoming and soon presented us with our first wine. We sampled this and 14 other wines during the course of the day together with a three course lunch. We were taught how to improve our wine drinking experience and certainly came away with more appreciation of wine. We would certainly recommend the day to anyone be it wine buff or novice. We had a great day.
