Had a great experience at Yama Sushi! Our server, Daphne, was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was fresh and delicious, and Daphne’s service really made the meal even better. Will definitely be back!
I came here last Sunday on a date and did the all you can eat for $40 dollars. It did not disappoint at all. We definitely ate our money's worth and everything we ordered was phenomenal. The service was great in ensuring we did not run out of food or beverages. We ate on the patio and the heat lamps were a nice touch to the atmosphere. We are making this a regular routine to our weekend and I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting an all you can eat sushi experience for the price of two or three rolls.
My experience at Yama was by far the best 90 minutes of my foodie journey! How come no one ever mentioned to me that all-you-can-eat sushi can be sooo enjoyable! What do I mean by that? Well, most of the time, people would told me that AYCE is a rip off. I can tell you that Yama did just the opposite. I’m not going to show my full receipt here, because I want everyone to go experience themselves, and if they want to prove me wrong, challenge accepted! Yama really brought out the best of the best and allowed me the opportunity to try a little bit of everything on their menu. For $40 per person, this is absolutely reasonable and I would love to bring more friends to go. I also just found out that they have a location in Chandler. I would love to go back soon!
If you want sushi right by the light rail, this is the place to be. It's a little higher end and not the sort of place I usually have the budget for, but it was money well spent for fresh food and friendly service. My friend got a selection of nigiri, and I got the Scorpion King Roll (pictured). Happy hour is more than just an hour with a few appetizers and drinks discounted, so we got miso soup for a dollar. Have a bit of extra change and want a sushi experience that you'll remember? Go to Yama, they'll have a table for you.
Yama Sushi House - Premium AYCE Sushi 4750 N Central Ave #150, Phoenix, AZ 85012 Yama Sushi House, located at 4750 N Central Ave #150 in Phoenix, AZ, offers a premium all-you-can-eat (AYCE) sushi experience that is worth exploring. During a recent visit, I found myself in the area taking photos of MyTea (business I was going to list to sell) and my growing hunger led me to discover this sushi gem. With an AYCE option priced at $39.95, I decided to indulge and see what the restaurant had to offer. Ambiance and Service Upon entering Yama Sushi House, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor reflects a blend of modern and traditional Japanese aesthetics, creating a cozy dining environment. The staff was attentive, though I did notice that my server could have been a bit more cheerful, which might enhance the overall dining experience. Food Breakdown Here’s a detailed breakdown of the dishes I tried: Miso Soup**: The miso was just average, lacking the depth of flavor that one might expect from a well-prepared bowl. Beef Short Ribs**: These were surprisingly sweet, and I found them enjoyable despite my initial reservations. Oysters**: Unfortunately, the oysters were a disappointment; they did not taste fresh, which is crucial for this type of seafood. Sweet Shrimp**: A highlight of the meal, the sweet shrimp was delicious and fresh, showcasing the quality of the seafood. Uni**: Similar to the oysters, the uni was not fresh, which detracted from the overall experience. Despite a few misses, the rest of the offerings were good: Bluefin Tuna Nigiri:** Rich and flavorful, this nigiri was a standout. AYCE Wagyu Beef Nigiri:** The melt-in-your-mouth texture of the wagyu beef made this a must-try. AYCE Toro Nigiri:** Another delicious option, the toro was buttery and satisfying. Salmon Kama:** Not one of my favorite Hamachi Kama:** this dish was flavorful and well-prepared. Eel Kabayaki:** The sweet glaze on the eel was delightful, making it a favorite among the dishes I tried. AYCE Yellowtail Carpaccio:** This dish was fresh and beautifully presented, adding a nice touch to the meal. Will I Come Back? Absolutely! Despite a few disappointments, the overall experience was enjoyable, and the quality of the AYCE options was commendable. I do hope that the service improves, as my server seemed a bit indifferent. A happier demeanor would certainly enhance the dining experience at Yama Sushi House.
