My partner and I are both surgeons with very busy and unpredictable schedules, and the thought of managing an ADU build is daunting and overwhelming. We decided to go with A+ Construction specifically because they state they provide concierge-level services, and they fully delivered. Instead of just assigning someone as our Project Manager, we were given an entire team starting with a Client Liaison to manage scheduling, a Design Coordinator, PM Anna to handle logistics, and Superintendent Sergei to manage execution on site. The coordination on the team was impressive. Sergei’s scheduling of the trades was flawless to the point that we felt as though we were watching a well-choreographed ballet because no one was left waiting. Olga is a legend, and while yes, her services were paid for and they had a fee that was about 18% more than the competition, the peace of mind we bought was worth it. Instead of playing fire drill every day and being summoned for high stakes meetings to make major project-related decisions, we received brief summaries at the end of every week. They finished the project 3 weeks ahead of the already ambitious deadline. A+ Construction is not an expense, but a strategic investment for someone like me who is a busy professional and values a smooth process as much as the finished product. They truly are exceptional.
A+, quite literally, is the best, as the name states. We were pretty much prepared for 9 months of bedlam, as this was the case with most of our neighbors. However, what we actually got were 6 months of masterclass efficiency. Plans approved in record time by local legend, Olga, the permit runner. Our PM, Sergei, ran the tightest ship any of us has ever seen, packing back to back schedules with zero downtime for every subcontractor. PM Anna's communication was in order and updated frequently. Sure, they're more expensive, but the value is in the premium, reduced stress and hassle. Totally worth it.
When my daughter and her husband had their first baby, we knew we wanted to keep family close while giving them their own space.
