Sunset tour was sensational! Tour guides Analise and Sarah were fun & knew the area well and shared a lot about ocean life, lighthouses, coastal home owners, islands & the lobstering business! Captain Phil was quick to catch sight of bald eagles; even a mated pair and slowed the boat for us to watch. Saw porpoises and seals 🦭too! October air was chilly as the sun went down, but winter gear made the top deck workable. Inside seating on lower deck also available. Very pleasant end of a day in Bar Harbor. * next time I’d bring binoculars or high optical zoom camera for the seals and eagles

My wife and I kinda booked this boat tour at the last minute due to a change in our itinerary but boy was it awesome!! All the staff were engaging in their stories and descriptions about the sites we saw. Some highlights included harbor seals, a perigrin falcon and a few bald eagles. If you're doing the sunset tour in October, I recommend bringing warm clothes - maybe more than you think you need and something to keep your head warm.

Our 3-hour, “Lighthouse and National Park”, boat tour on Acadian Boat Tours was such an enjoyable adventure. George, the boat tour guide, was knowledgeable and very entertaining. I had been concerned about being too cold on our late September morning boat tour; I was not. I appreciated the captain pointing out, and taking the time to show us, a pod of harbor porpoises. I loved seeing all the harbor seals at Egg Rock Lighthouse. I also appreciated how the captain gave both sides of the boat a full view of the sea animals and the 3-lighthouses. We stayed on the upper deck for the whole tour. I heard from others that it was very loud below in the enclosed area. We had an awesome experience! I would definitely do it again!

We took the 1hr 1/2 sunset cruise. Truly had the best time. Definitely chilly as the sun goes down and with the wind but it was so beautiful to see Frenchman’s bay from the water and especially at sunset. We saw seals on the rocks near egg lighthouse and we saw a few porpoises. Overall the staff were great and very entertaining and enthusiastic about their jobs. Highly recommended !

We had the pleasure of enjoying this experience today and it far exceeded our expectations. First, we brought two children 11 and 14 who are hard to impresse and their seal of approval is everything. Second, we were traveling with our dog. A lot of places say they are dog friendly but not very friendly when you arrive with pet in tow. This tour greeted our four legged baby with the biggest smile, they were actually dog friendly. The tour guides were phenomenal, they were funny while also educational at the same time. We were truly blown away by the personalities of both our guides. They even had binoculars to rent which our 11 year old very much enjoyed. If you're looking for a way to venture out from the crowds this is 100% the way to do it. While we did experience a few "tourist traps" in the area, this is one experience we truly felt was money well spent. Thank you to our guides for a memorable morning!
