My son worked with Alison Cohn during his college application process, and she was absolutely wonderful. She helped him build a thoughtful college list, research programs, and stay on top of every deadline. Most importantly, she guided him through his essays with warmth and insight, helping him find his voice, and feel confident in his work. We’re so grateful for her support and expertise. He ended up where he was meant to be, which was his dream school. This was due to his hard work and her expertise and guidance.
Joy Lin was wonderful to work with! She helped our student improve 10 ACT points from the initial diagnostic test to her last super score. She makes sure material is understood and continues to re-teach until topics are mastered. Her encouraging manner gave our student the confidence needed to meet goals!
A huge thank you to Advantage Testing and their team for helping me along my ACT journey. Beginning with Mr. Ramsdell, he was always super energetic and up beat during our group sessions at breakthrough. He made me feel like I could accomplish more than I had previously planned. He was originally the person who pushed me to consider taking the ACT exam and facilitated a meeting with Ms. Cohn, another one of his associates, to discuss how their team could help me. Eventually, I was paired with Ms. Lin who quickly established herself as a great mentor. She made every session fun and free of stress. She helped me improve the necessary skills needed in the ACT, while also providing insight on my time management. She taught in a way that clicked for me. All of that to say, special thanks to Ms. Lin and to the rest of the Advantage Team.
Had an amazing experience working with Joy Lin on my ACT. Together we were able to raise my scores from a 25 to a 34. Zero complaints across the board from scheduling sessions to the countless tips Joy had to offer. Would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a tutor and I will for sure be back if I need her help again!
