A small, cozy spot tucked away in the heart of Hamilton. The compact space adds to the atmosphere. The overall vibe was great, especially the lighting and artwork. Food: Service was quick. We waited about 10 minutes for appetizers and 15–20 minutes for mains. We ordered the bento box (8/10) and the jjigae (8/10). I would recommend trying the jjigae at least once. The side dishes were also excellent and full of flavour. Worth coming to in Hamilton.

Ajio is a gem of a sushi restaurant, offering a phenomenal overall experience that strikes the perfect balance between quality and value. If you're looking for delicious sushi without breaking the bank, this is the place to be. The sushi is very good—fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. They clearly take pride in their rolls and nigiri. What makes Ajio stand out, though, is the incredible value. The portions are good, making the price feel extremely fair. You leave feeling satisfied without that feeling of overspending. Equally important is the dining experience provided by the staff. The service is amazing and truly remarkable. Everyone is very friendly and attentive, making you feel welcomed from the moment you step in the door. For anyone who loves quality sushi, great prices, and service with a genuine smile, I highly recommend Ajio.

Tucked away in downtown Hamilton, this spot is one of the best places for sushi and Korean food! We absolutely loved it — the food was amazing, and the portions were generous. The bento boxes are definitely worth the price, especially with the high-quality sashimi. They even include a complimentary salad and congee soup as starters, and the bento comes with miso soup too. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!

The kimchi jjigae with banchan was delicious. The meat, tofu and mandu inside were plentiful and the seasme oil was an excellent balance with the spicy. The complementary salad and juk was also great. Atmosphere was very welcoming and warm; like walking into a small oasis from the city.

Overall a great experience! Went to meet a friend after quite a while and it was definitely the right place to go. Although the square footage of the shop seems small from the outside, they do an amazing job of making a spacious and welcoming space inside. We were seated very quickly, and the server was patient when we took a while to order. I order the Bento Box 4 with BBQ eel, and I can say with confidence that the quality and quantity both exceeded my expectation. Had a difficult time finishing my meal with how much there was, but with how great it tasted, I didn't want to waste anything. My friend's order had a brief mix up, but the wait was worth it in the end. The server also kindly offered us sodas to make up for the delay. Overall an excellent spot, and a great meal for the price point. If I were living in Hamilton, I'd definitely make this a frequent stop!
