The atmosphere was relaxing & warm - we didn't have reservations, so we had to sit in the bar area which was very nice. Loved the greenhouse vibe. The food was ok. The risotto needed more seasoning, the fried chicken sandwiches seemed to be extra fried, the bread board was delicious, the tofu was good, as were the carrots in the chicken dish. Drinks were decent, but not super exciting. The bar tender was helpful. With so many dining options in OTR (& Cincy in general), I expected a better culinary experience. It won't be my first choice to go back to, but I wouldn't balk at going if others suggested it. Hope this helps!
Super cool space in downtown Cincinnati. The Alcove is set in a former German beer hall from the 1800s. Food is fantastic and the Cincy Bloody Mary is one of the best I've ever had. We enjoyed the Loaded Potato hash and Quiche brunch dishes. Highly recommend stopping in.
If you're looking for an elevated brew pub experience you need to give this place a try. The place has a great ambiance and you can tell this is a nicer experience than most breweries. The food menu is relatively small, but the food we tried was all very tasty. And of course the Mad Tree beer was tasty as well. Service was a bit on the slow side, but was friendly and accommodating. They do have a kids menu and our daughters enjoyed their food as well. There is paid parking in a lot just next to the restaurant.
Came in with a large party and a 7 year old. Food was so good! Moderately priced. Kids menu was limited but my child is picky and she ate the buttered noodles happily! Quiche was excellent, the brunch board had a variety for everyone and the pastries were unique and delicious. Server was lovely and very prompt. Atmosphere was chill, music and lighting felt comfy. I would recommend booking a table as it seemed like a very popular spot!
Awesome option for a brunch or lunch spot if you are downtown Cincinnati! Conveniently located right in the middle of OTR. I’ve been here a couple times, but I’m still impressed every single time I walk in. The plants in the space are just beautiful and it always smells amazing. We started off with coffee and a hummus plate. The veggies were super fresh and crunchy. We love that they toasted the pita. For our meals, we ordered the potato hash and their seasonal quiche. Both were delicious and fresh! I would definitely come back and try their bakery board, a lot of people ordering their cinnamon rolls and they looked incredible.
