Alia Fine Art Studios est un studio d'art de premier plan à Raleigh, en Caroline du Nord, offrant un espace spacieux et bien équipé pour les artistes de tous niveaux. Connu pour son ambiance chaleureuse et bienveillante, le studio organise des ateliers de peinture et de sculpture, des séances de dessin sur modèle vivant ouvertes et des cours animés tant par des artistes résidents que par des artistes invités. I travelled from KY to take a 3-day workshop with a visiting artist. Alia immediately welcomed me into her studio and set me initial workshop anxieties to rest. The entire experience was amazing, and left me wishing I lived closer to become a regular at the studio.
I flew out from the west coast for a painting workshop at Alia’s studio and was so impressed with every aspect of the experience! Alia is incredibly generous and kind, and the space is absolutely beautiful. Alia really goes the extra mile to create an inviting, warm, and supportive space for all of her students. If I lived closer, I would try to attend as many of her classes as possible.
Beyond Alia's regular painting studio offerings, she also recently accommodated us clay sculptors with a fantastic week-long Figure Sculpting workshop with the well-known sculptor Alicia Ponzio. Alia's spacious studio was the perfect environment to sculpt in for both the artists and model. Professional lighting and a high stage platform along with individual moveable sculpture stands provided a relaxing space to learn. Alicia's knowledge and extensive background as an instructor gave a challenging class that accommodated all levels. I look forward to spreading the word about my experience at this great place.
Where to begin… Alia is truly one of the kindest and most inspiring souls in our community. Her studio is a vibrant hub that breathes life into artists at every stage, from aspiring beginners to seasoned professionals. Alia’s teaching style is one of a deep understanding of classical techniques and traditions, yet she delivers them in a way that’s completely paletable and engaging for everyone. I’ve been attending her workshops since October of last year, and they’ve completely transformed my art practice for the better. Whether you’re participating in one of Alia’s own classes or attending a workshop led by one of the many incredible guest artists she hosts, this is the place to grow, connect, and be inspired. The Tuesday night open figure sessions are tremendous, a perfect way to unwind and recharge with a welcoming community of fellow art nerds. If you do one thing for your creative self: come here.
Alia’s studio is spacious, clean, and equipped with everything an artist needs (minus our supplies, of course). I attended a 3 day workshop and was very impressed with Alia’s coordination of the event. Everything was well planned, and she even provided snacks, coffee and tea. Alia has been teaching for years so has accumulated a supply of classic reference material such as plaster casts, skeletons, skulls, etc. She is a talented artist and very welcoming. The models are treated with much respect and seemed happy to be there. Alia has created a very special space and arts community. I’ll definitely be returning!
