Amazing business and Habiba, the owner is kind, thorough, professional, and does excellent work for a very reasonable price! She altered a pair of dress pants for me and they looked great. Please support her business because it's hard to find good alteration people.
I was recommended to try Habiba for alterations for a dress I needed for next Friday. I dropped the dress off 30 minutes before closing and I told her that I needed it for next week and she said no problem. She quoted me $200 for a 2 inch hem and hem on the sleeves. I was reluctant in paying that high price just for a hem but I accepted it anyway because I wanted to be done with it. When I got home, I called Habiba to tell her not to proceed with the dress and that I changed my mind. I told her that was a little expensive for a dress that I didn't pay that much for to have it hem as if it was a wedding dress. She told me because it had some sequence on it , it was the reason that it was higher. She only charged my family $75 to hem and take up their dresses. I asked her what time did she open the next day so I could pick it up and she said at 11 (her website says 9:00am) . She also stated that she had already started on the dress (lie) because I dropped it off 30 minutes before closing and she was working on something else when I was leaving. When my daughter came to get the dress at 9 she was already finished. She slipped up and said that she had come in at 7 to finish the dress that I said that I needed next Wednesday. I paid the price but" Never "will I ever support Alterations by Habiba again. This is not my normal to put people on blast but she was dishonest, distasteful and that says a whole lot. And the work wasn't even professional or polished. (Try at your own risk, you've been warned) She also relayed a message for me that she will hem 2 pair of pants for me for free. No mam you blew it!!!
