The class was very well instructed, very well set up, and very well organized. It was fun and creative, with lots of color and pattern choices. One thing that was slightly misleading was that when we arrived, we realized that the price we paid was for a candle holder, not a lamp. However, it was only ten dollars more to upgrade to a small lamp, or a little more for larger lamps. The instructors were very friendly, funny and helpful. We were served tea and a small treat. There are a few other things on display to purchase like beautiful bowls of different sizes and small rugs to put under your lamp. You can also purchase additional kits and supplies to give as gifts or do yourself at home. We had a lot of fun, I would definitely recommend it.
I had a great time making my lamp last weekend. The class was fun! Unfortunately, when I put the lamp together today it wouldn’t light up. Of course I will check to see if it is the bulb, but if not I am stuck with a lamp that I can only use as a candle holder. Very disappointing. Update: my hubby opened the base and there was an unconnected wire. He fixed it and it works just fine. It’s beautiful. I love it.
Went here on a date one Friday evening in July. Had to book the mosaic class beforehand - lamp and candle holder for the two of us. I liked the setup - all the add-on pieces pre-cut and arranged on every table. The hostess gave us some verbal instructions from time to time, but we were largely left to do it ourselves. Had to bring the plaster home and do it later after the glue dried off. We were served tea and some dessert, which were complimentary. I think I would have liked more involvement from the hostess. I was definitely going very slow and then sped up towards the end of the class. Some other folks weren't having fun at all, and arguing about stuff. Plenty of parking available at the place.
I went to the one in Virginia. It was such a wonderful experience! The place was beautifully designed, and doing the activity under the guidance of such professional and kind staff made it even more enjoyable. The materials were all high quality, and the whole process was surprisingly easy—definitely not as hard as I imagined. Miss Ahsen was incredibly helpful and gave great guidance throughout. I truly had a great time and am already planning to come back next time with my daughter!
I attended with my Daughter who lives out of state. We had a great time. HUGE selection of colors to choose from. My daughter who is very creative had a hard time choosing colors and design with so many to choose from. She ended up creating her own design. Our table group was fantastic. One item I was not aware of was that you have to finish it at home. Glue has to dry for 6 hrs before you can grout it. Not a problem but I was not aware of this. LOVE how mine turned out. Daughter returned to Denver (from San Diego) and will finish hers. I could not wait to see the final lamp. Camping recharging light was the perfect size to create the design.
