Delilah was very kind to let us book one month out from our wedding for 2 hairstyles and 1 makeup. However, after signing the contract I didn't hear from her again: I sent an email a week before, I texted the night before, and left a voicemail the morning of without a response. I wasn't sure if someone was going to show up at all. Luckily, someone had been subcontracted out by Delilah to arrive at the appointment, and that person did show up (Brooklynn Dixon was a lifesaver!) I finally heard from Delilah 40 minutes after the appointment start time that she was going to send someone to me for my appointment. It seems there was a miscommunication from the stylist subcontracted and Delilah about who was going to work today, even though the stylist reached out to Delilah to confirm that she was already with me. It's unprofessional to not coordinate with your team OR clients, let alone not check your texts or other forms of communication at all? Also offering to fix an error 40 minutes AFTER the appointment time is also unprofessional and would have eaten into the little time we had between the appointment and the ceremony. I'm giving 2 stars because it seems like other brides had worse experiences - at least my stylist was competent. Again, Brooklynn Dixon saved the day!
I recently had the pleasure of working with Delilah and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. From the moment I walked into the studio she exuded professionalism and creativity. She took the time to understand my preferences and tailored the makeup perfectly to my style and the occasion.
Ultimately, our service with Artisty by Delilah left much to be desired. They kindly booked us a little over a month out from my wedding, which was much appreciated, for a party of 3 bridesmaids and a bride, hair and makeup on site. The two-person team arrived 30+ minutes late, without any notice, yet called me hours earlier at 7:40am that morning to confirm my room number. They didn't seem to know what we'd requested in terms of service and I had to pull up the agreement multiple times for them to view, then repeat our booked services numerous times. We ended up running over 40 minutes late to our scheduled photo time and I missed getting pictures with my parents or a moment with them ahead of the ceremony. No one bothered introducing themselves or asking our names. I was just "bride." The makeup artist did not know how to use the airbrush machine and repeatedly had to stop to ask the hair stylist for assistance. Worst yet, everyone ended up with their skin a variation of orange or yellow, very far off from their natural shades. One girl was very patchy. I had unblended contour on a weird place that stood out horribly in photos — it looked like a severe line of poop across my cheek. Following my makeup application, I noticed my eyeliner on my upper lids had immediately smudged marking my eyeshadow and crease. My hair fell out within an hour. In regards to that style, I asked repeatedly for a specific style and the stylist seemed to misunderstand or ignore me so I finally just gave up. When I reached out to Delilah herself about a week or two after, she was very defensive right off the bat, not the least bit apologetic, and did nothing to make it right. In fact, I was made to feel like some kind of hysterical bridezilla despite being very straightforward and polite in my communications. Any kind of refund was said to be impossible because she already sent the artists their money — which feels like a poor excuse. How does your business function if you don’t have money on hand like that? She then said she’d reach back out to me and never did so. Very disappointed. My wedding coordinator was about to include her in their company’s “recommended vendors” list and my experience changed that.
Delilah exceeded my expectations! I was nervous solely because I had a destination wedding and was unable to do a trial, but she was amazing! Her team made my bridesmaids feel and look beautiful as well. They were very professional and I would highly recommend! She was seriously the sweetest and made me feel super comfortable.
Brides beware!!! My best friend hired Delilah for her wedding in October 14th and I also hired her to do my hair and makeup for the wedding. She was supposed to be here at 10am to get Erin ready so Erin would have some time to just enjoy the day before pictures started at 2, oh don’t let me forget that the trial hair and makeup took 3 hours to do. At 9:54 Delilah called to say she couldn’t find the road then figured out the reason she couldn’t find the road was because she was in a town 3 hours away. At that point the bride made the choice to cancel her services as she wouldn’t be done in time and the bridesmaids all came together and got her ready. Delilah blamed the bride for the incorrect address although every text and the the contract all had the correct address. As if this wasn’t enough the photographer arrived and said Delilah did the same exact thing to her with another client. Delilah has been asked to refund the money and is refusing I hope no other bride has to go through what my best friend did with Delilah
