My now husband I and hired the owner of Aster, Lindsay, to create an engagement ring, a wedding band, and a pendant out of my grandmother's wedding ring. Halfway through I realized that I wanted a more organic design for the rings than we had originally discussed, and Lindsay was incredibly receptive and adaptive. She ended up looping in a fellow designer (Saara) who specializes in organic designs and the two of them created absolute masterpieces for me! The pendant was made out of the rubies in the original ring as a gift for my aunt, and she cried when I gave it to her! I couldn't be happier with all of the pieces, and and am so grateful for Lindsay and her team. They even re-sized the rings for me because they were a little big. I recommend Aster Jewelers whole-heartedly. You won't regret working with them!
Amazing shoppe. I went in with two goals: jewelry repair and to purchase a vintage chain. Ryan was so patient and kind, taking the time to explain the repair process and what it would entail. As for the chain, there were so many options - several vintage chains and others options (new) that could be ordered to my liking. I walked out with a beautiful vintage gold chain. I was able to try on different options, talk through them all and play around as I made my decision. I am very happy with my chain and very happy that I found such a great shoppe. Great customer service and beautiful pieces. I can’t wait to return.
When Aster Jewelers opened up in Montclair Village (Oakland, CA), it was wonderful to see this spot revived by a young, creative, professionally trained Jeweler who not only has her own line of stunning pieces, but also features other local jewelers who are creating their own fine jewelry - and add to the cozy creative ambiance found in this shop. Based on the range of prices, as well as the selective non-jewelry items carried in Lindsay's shop, it is a pleasure to pop in and check out the latest finds - and I'm always pleasantly surprised to be able to find a housewarming gift, as well as get ideas for the occasions that inspire purchase of a new piece of jewelry, whether for myself or another special person. This is a special and unique shop, with beautiful jewelry and always friendly, professional and helpful staff who are patient as you look around and see what catches your eye...or can help you find the perfect item!
Beautiful fine jewelry from local artists including the owner, Lindsay. I’m obsessed with her chunky geometric rings. I recently bought this ring for my mom from the vintage collection. I always end up leaving with something extra like a handmade scarf or tapered candles. They also carry pendant lamps by a local artist that are absolutely stunning, I can’t get over it. Pleasant fragrances, candle holders, lots of great gift ideas. Go for the jewelry but check out everything on the walls and in the back cases while you’re there. All the staff are super nice and friendly. There’s something for everyone and they will help you find it.
Simply the most special jeweler in town. Everyone is so kind, helpful and chill (non-pressuring). Incredibly curated selection featuring local women artisans. They also offer vintage pieces. And perfume & unique accessories. I’m so happy to see businesses like this in Montclair (which needs more of this creative energy).
