I was referred to this office by a friend. I was initially put off by the requirement for deposit for scheduling an appointment, but once I was there it made sense. They called me a few minutes before my appointment time, and I was out at exactly the estimated time for the appointment. As someone who values punctuality, it made the deposit worth it. The office itself is designed with attention to detail. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. My dentist was so kind and took the opportunity to get to know me a bit and make conversation. One of the most pleasant experiences I've had at a dentist's office with the newest technology, treatments, and practices.
Hands down best experience at a dentist! High praise for my experience with Dr. Amanda, dental assistant Erika, and hygienist Cailee. I got X-rays/comprehensive exam, cleaning/treatment, and a filling in my wisdom tooth. I have a history of dental trauma AND I have very sensitive teeth, so I get pretty nervous going to the dentist now. All the staff, from reception onward, made my experience so comfortable. The work was excellent on all fronts, very masterful and with a soft touch. No pain whatsoever. I appreciated how much staff and Dr. Amanda checked in with me about how I was feeling. Additionally, the decor and atmosphere of the clinic is beautiful, all the way down to the acoustics, low noise and low echo. Nothing but happy vibes, lots of natural light and views of trees and a mural. Televisions on the ceiling with headphones so you can watch tv or a movie during your procedure to distract yourself. So calming, exquisite and thorough attention to detail. Highly recommend!
I came to ATX Family Dental based on recommendations from two friends I trust. I had my first cleaning and exam with Dr. Adam a couple of weeks ago and I went back the following week for specific work, also with Dr. Adam. For a person who isn't easily satisfied in a dentist's office, I am highly satisfied with ATX Family Dental, so far. My experiences both times had consistency from the front desk to the exam room. People here make eye contact with you, communicate what to expect with clarity- from the front desk, to the waiting room, to the dental chair. I also like that they seek further clarity with me by asking if I have questions at each transition. The friends who recommended Dr. Adam's office know my back story. Without sharing all the details, I had terrible dental experiences with two dentists many years ago. I'm not proud to say it, but for 14 years, I became dentist avoidant. Fortunately, I overcame my fears, but suffice it to say, I look for traits that go beyond framed credentials. I'm looking for professionalism and interpersonal skills that signal the people I'm going to for my dental care are trustworthy. That criteria will not be the same for everyone. So far, Dr. Adam and his team are ticking all the right boxes.
