Augustino Gusto Bakery à Greensboro propose des pains et des pâtisseries d'inspiration européenne dans une petite boutique douillette. Ouverte seulement quelques jours par semaine, elle est saluée pour ses miches fraîches tout juste sorties du four, ses quiches, ses pâtisseries aux épinards et au fromage, son strudel aux pommes, sa tarte aux fruits rouges et son tiramisu. Le lieu accueillant offre des places en extérieur, un parking, et jouit d'une réputation de produits de haute qualité, pas trop sucrés.

OMG Most fun I have had waiting in line. I was asked to be supervision for friend from church who agreed to pickup food for Christmas day brunch. Everything was amazing. Everything is baked fresh so the aroma was intoxicating. Great choice of both sweet and savory items. Can't recommend high enough.
Really between 3 or 4 stars here. Everything was pleasant but in my opinion, not overly remarkable, and pricey, and a lot better options more east in the Triangle area. I tried an almond croissant, which had a very pleasant buttery flavor, but almost no filling. The prosciutto puff pastry pocket was nice as well, with fatty prosciutto inside. The limoncello pie was fairly unremarkable, tasted like an average cream pie or cheesecake topped with jam. The pecan brownie was probably the best of the bunch - very gooey and chocolatey. The prices were surprisingly high. $7 for a cannoli (pre-filled, rather than filled on the spot for you), $10 for the prosciutto pocket. I guess even though you're only open 2 days a week you still need to pay the rent. I enjoyed what I had, but I likely wouldn't come back to try others, especially if its so difficult to do so with the two days a week availability.
Not long ago, a friend brought a couple of loaves of bread from Augustino Gusto Bakery to a party. I was instantly in love! First time coming in to the bakery today. My love continues! It’s a tiny shop open just 3 days a week. I came on Saturday and bought a few loaves of bread (to take to a pot-luck party tonight) and a few things for lunch for my husband and I. We tried the mozzarella and tomato quiche ($15), the Spinach and cheese roll ($12?), and an apple strudel. Each was incredible. The spinach and cheese pastry had tons of the filling and was excellent at room temperature. We warmed up the quiche just a little, it was so delicious! Apple strudel was smaller but we loved it. All in total, three loaves of bread, 3 pastries, and a latte came to $79.05, including a tip. When I first came to Greensboro, I used to be so disappointed in the local bread options. Now I have a couple of options and can probably just cancel my bread subscription! (Yes, I was angry enough to order bread online lol!). The bread from this place is FANTASTIC. 10/10 highly recommend. The place also has a ton of outdoor seating on picnic tables (when the weather cooperates). I did see plenty of folks just chowing down in their cars because YES. They do have a parking lot in the back. The place has handicapped parking and a ramp… I LOVE THIS PLACE!
My partner and I visited Augustino Gusto for the first time, and were immediately taken by the charming atmosphere and picturesque assortment of freshly baked goods. The berry tart was sweet and fresh, and the tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had. The prices are not cheap, but neither is the quality, and is very worth it. I am anxious to visit again.
Augustino Gusto is the best bakery in Greensboro, bar none. Take it from someone who has lived in San Francisco (supposedly where you can find the top bakeries in the United States) and has travelled extensively to France and Italy. Their products are top notch. If you’re looking for the overly sweet desserts common in the south, this place is not it - their offerings are more elegant and European. It’s an absolute hidden gem in the heart of the Triad.
