Good selection of souvenirs, but for some reason the service isn’t up to my standards. When I was about to pay, they didn’t have the small $1 shopping bag (apparently sold out 😳), so I had to buy the large $2 one instead, and they also added a service fee for paying by card for 1.93%. On top of that, after I paid, the cashier abandoned my purchase because there was a shoplifting incident — apparently she’s both the cashier and the security. Wow… what an experience that was at Australia gift shop Perth Forrest Chase 🤪
I purchased some gifts($83.55) today and asked about the reason for the additional charge on my credit card. Unfortunately, the cashier’s (she) response came across as rude and lacked respect toward customers. As this is a paid service, I believe customers should be treated with courtesy. I kindly suggest providing staff with further training in customer service.
Absolutely the worst customer service I have experienced in Australia and that says a lot. I was in this store on 5 December 2025 at around 8:00 PM, and one female staff member’s behaviour was so shockingly rude that it genuinely left me speechless. The store wasn’t even close to closing, yet this female employee kept following us around with a mop, deliberately cleaning exactly where we were standing, as if her mission was to push us out of the way. Every time we tried to look at something, she’d swoop in behind us, acting irritated that we weren’t moving instantly. Combine that with the constant dirty looks and attitude, and it felt like she was doing everything she could to force us out of the store. I spoke with the assistant manager right then and there and reported her because the behaviour was far beyond “having a bad day.” It was hostile, unprofessional, and directed straight at us for no reason. And as if that wasn’t enough, on our way out I witnessed her raise her voice at another customer, telling them to move because she was dragging racks around the shop.. and again, long before closing. She wasn’t just rude to us; she was rude to anyone in her path. Completely unacceptable. Here’s the part that makes it even more infuriating: we are NOT tourists. We live here. This is our local area. So the idea of running into this same behaviour every time we walk in is ridiculous. No one should ever feel unwelcome in a store we actually support. If she dislikes working in retail, fine, but don’t take it out on people who are just browsing quietly and minding their own business. She single-handedly took what was a perfectly good day and stomped on it. An absolute killjoy with zero customer service awareness. Management needs to take this seriously, because no paying customer — local or tourist — deserves to be treated with that level of disrespect.
Good items but the customer service is awful. The Indian shopkeeper gritted her teeth when she asked me : do you want your invoice?
Huge range of key rings and fridge stickers, which is good. However, the quality of the items is pretty bad. The fridge sticker's magnet hasn't stuck to any fridge I've tried and keeps losing the print off of it. Better shop your souvenirs elsewhere and get better quality.
