I was just passing by and found this little bakery around Circular Quay, not easy to find. Everything looks pretty, especially cakes and pastries. They have pies, sandwiches and other stuff as well, but I picked Santa croissant and Kimchi pastry. First of all, they should have offered the savoury pastry to heat up!!! It tasted nice but felt ordinary when cold and dry chicken pieces hit my tongue. It would have been much better. The santa hat pastry was good with chocolate cream and caramel sauce inside, but somehow the pastry felt soggy. The top pompom tasted weird - I think the cream was not cow cream, as it was too white for it. The price is at the high end. The service was efficient but not great, felt they are rushing me… well there was no queue and lots of options but no one was helpful, just giving me “pick one now and pay” pressure.. not that they were rude, but asked me if I was ready to order 3 times. But the atmosphere is good. I took them to the Sydney harbour for the view but the cafe itself looks modern and nice. Little fountain and nice seats inside and outside, it certainly felt nice to eat in.
Came here for an almond croissant and it did not disappoint. My Mum loves almond croissants so I like to try to get her some from different highly rated places. I’ve tried coming before but they sold out last time :( this time, I was able to get one and we shared it! The croissant had a good amount of flakiness and wasn’t overly sweet or too strong in flavour. The almond filling was also generous and added a nice texture! One thing I’d say is if it had more almonds on the top, it would be better!! Would definitely recommend. For $9, I’d argue it is better than Lune
Visiting from Adelaide and this inner city patisserie is the perfect first stop to experience quality pastries and dessert. Although not much seating- the flow of customers means it moves quite quickly. Staff very attentive and the pastries are very well presented. Well done team - thank you for the experience!
Nice bakery around Circular Quay. Delightful staff and beautiful environment - the huge glass wall allow plenty of natural light. The indoor greens are very relaxing. Ordered takeaway pineapple yuzu cake and strawberry tart. Delicious and refresh. Both pieces has nice flavour of natural fruit. Price is reasonable, but understandable with its location. The paper base sticks to the cakes bases and it was a bit messy. They were only out from the fridge for less than 30mins so I think it should do better.
This place has been on my list for a couple of years now and I’ve finally made it to Sydney to try. Enticed in by pictures of incredible looking parties, I ended up choosing the classics and my favourite bakery items - a spinach and ricotta role and a scone. The spinach and ricotta roll was so fresh, tasty, crispy and complimented with an epic relish. As a vegetarian, the spinach and ricotta roll is often the only hot vegetarian pastry option, so I’ve tried a lot, and the one from here has now won the gold medal from me! The scone was so fluffy and tasty I forgot to take a photo. Coffee wise, I had batch brew. It’s not offered at all bakeries so I was excited to have one from here, and it was spot on. Next time I’m in Sydney I’ll try something different. 😊
