Couldn't be happier with my heirloom ring downsizing experience! The cost was very fair and transparent, and they even surprised me by being able to retain the extra metal to repurpose and make the band thicker and stronger (without charging above the quote). Baraka is clearly focused on making a quality product and experience, no matter how small the project. Also, the appointment process was a breeze- don't be scared off by the "appointment only" approach. They make it super easy to get in.
Ashlen and Jo were incredibly helpful for a newcomer like me. I don't buy jewelry often and they were super patient with me. They answered all my questions when I came in with an heirloom ring I wanted to resize, engrave, and polish for myself. Very reasonable pricing. Before Baraka, I visited another local jeweler and they were not nearly as welcoming. Also, make sure you make an appointment!
My sweet husband generously let me upgrade my wedding ring. I came to Baraka Gems to create my first customized forever ring. I was introduced to Lauren by Jamie (owner). Working with Lauren has been a fun experience. I could not have done this without her expertise, knowledge, and patience as she guided me through every step of this process. Jamie allowed me to stretch my budget for this elegant, customized ring with my trade in. They selected a jaw dropping lab diamond to my specs and handcrafted my custom ring to perfection. The Jewelry Designer's master craftsmanship surpassed all my expectations! I receive compliments on my ring every day. I normally do not post pictures; however, I am overjoyed on how breathtaking my ring turned out and would like to share my experience with anyone looking to customize a ring. My now fiancé and I worked with both Jaime and Ashlen, who helped us design a gorgeous engagement ring/wedding band that incorporated the gems from my grandmother's ring. Everyone on the team was friendly, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. Now happily engaged to the love of my life!
