Best gym in DFW. Really well equipped: - 6 combo racks + 2 full racks + KG plates + every specialty bar - seal row bench - turf - reverse hyper - every major strongman implement (logs, stones, circus DB, frame, farmer's handles, yoke, frame) - cable stacks - plate loaded machines Good environment -- friendly, but nobody bothers you. 24h access, and owner is invested in providing a good experience. Highly recommend.
Battle axe barbell is always my go to when in DFW! I’ll happily drive an hour from wherever I’m at to train here. They are 24/7, have top of the line equipment, and you’re training around some of the best in the world. Whether you’re a strongman, powerlifter, weightlifter, like dogs, or functional fitness person they got it all!
I visited from the UK and needed a strongman gym to train in whilst in the area. Derek & Shelley were so welcoming & helpful, and there is so much equipment for anything you can need, for Strongman, Powerlifting and fitness training. The atmosphere was the best I have experienced anywhere. Such a great place and I wish I lived over here to train here every day!
Having seen BAB on social media it was amazing to finally get chance to train in this awesome gym. With all the necessary strongman kit including a range of logs and giant dumbbells it was a great opportunity to have a fun session. Also has great machines and equipment for everyday strength training and a really welcoming vibe. If you are in the DFW area I would highly recommend a session here.
We enjoyed our visit to Battle Axe Barbell gym! The owner and his wife were super welcoming and made us feel right at home. The place has an awesome mix of strongman and strength equipment, everything was clean, and the vibe was really positive. It’s also open 24 hours — so convenient! And the fact that they allow dogs is just the best. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the Garland area!
