After going to a few different places to look at new flooring, both carpet and hardwood floors, I stopped in Bay Area Floors where I met Lori. Lori took the time to talk to me and look at what I had in my home, the paint colors, my style and helped guide me through the many options for flooring that are out there. She not only helped me select my flooring but also has a keen eye for fabrics, new paint colors and making tactfull suggestions of changes that I should consider. I hate to admit but she was right on most if not all of her suggestions. The products were of high quality and professionally installed. Lori has a great eye and taste and can help you decorate your home, pulling everything together. A rather unique gift, not just a flooring salesperson. Thank you Lori.
Last minute changes as they raise the price on us by more than 800 hundred dollars. The said they would help us fix the issues with the install and they did not do that. not satisfied at all. they charged more the 8k for 400 sq ft job. Don't use this company - they are a rip off. They showed us more expensive base board and then when they showed up to do the work they brought much cheaper material-not honest company. They persuaded us after we already bought material to buy a cheaper one so they could make more money and the product was discontinued.
I had such a great experience at Bay Area Flooring Design. I’m installing flooring for the first time and got stuck with an uneven area that needed a bit of underlayment. Lori, the owner, took the time to diagnose the issue and walk me through the solution. Most places would have charged me for a full roll, but Lori was so kind — she cut me just the small piece I needed (plus a little extra) and wouldn’t even take payment, even when I offered. That generosity and honesty is rare. Her staff, Sam and Samantha, were also extremely friendly and made me feel like I was part of a family business. Lori has been in flooring for decades, and you can tell — she shared nuggets of wisdom I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere else, all free of charge. I came in needing underlayment, but I left with knowledge, confidence, and a ton of respect for this company. Highly recommend Bay Area Flooring Design — you’ll be in great hands!
We recently hired Bay Area Floors & Design for the installation of new hardwood floors and carpets and had the best customer experience ever. The entire process was super easy, Lori - the owner, was great. She came to our house to see the work, provided advice on the selection and kept us informed of the next steps.
