Do not visit this establishment unless you want hair in your pizza. Not only is the service shit, the place is unmaintained and they have no cleanliness standards. I finished my first slice and was about to start on the 2nd when I noticed hair on the first piece that I had almost finished eating. Then trying to decide if I wanted to eat the other or not. I found yet more hair on the second piece. Hair was baked into the dough throughout the pizza in various locations. This establishment is disgusting and so is there pizza. The owners of this place should be ashamed that they're offering their food to the public. I will be contacting the local health office and reporting them for cleanliness standards and lack thereof.
Great pizza joint. Plenty of pizza with just one giant slice. Walking distance from all major hotels in the downtown Norfolk area. A must when in town.
I was looking for a pizza joint to feed a crew of guys working an emergency job and found this place on Google. The reviews looked good but I called the number several times and no one answered. GPS said it was only five minutes away so I just drove there. It was a little hard to find parking because I drive a large truck but I found a spot about a block and half away. I walked in and was greeted by the staff. I attempted to order a whole pizza and it felt like they thought it was weird that I was ordering a whole pizza, then when I informed them I actually wanted three, they seemed a little taken a back, seemed a little concerned that they were going to have enough toppings. Which I thought was strange but it was 11pm on a Saturday. They told me 25 minutes so I headed back to my truck and after the time had passed I headed back in. This is when everything started to make sense!!!!! These pizzas are huge, almost to big to transport!!! I paid and began the walk to my truck still parked almost two blocks away carrying 3 gigantic pizzas. Im not going to lie but I was struggling a little with the sheer, weight and size of these behemoths. But thanks to onlookers cheering me on I was able to make the trek!!! Then I had to negotiate them one at a time into the backseat of my full-size crew cab truck. Luckily at the job site we had a large flat trailer to place this pizza feast on! I ordered a pepperoni, pepperoni/sausage and buffalo chicken. All the pizzas were cooked perfectly and tasting fantastic! The pizza and slices are huge!!! My guys did there best but could not finish 3 of them. See pictures for size comparison!!! Hope you enjoy your experience as much as I did!!!
First time here, terrible customer service but I will not penalize the business for the actions of an employee. The pizza is very very good. It's light and very flavorful. Still crispy even though it's a huge slice! The cheese has a distinct taste in a very good way and the sauce is just the right amount. Quality food, just need warmer customer service and a little more cleaning in the sitting area. I understand you get people who've been drinking a bit but even after a few beers they still like to see a smile when they walk in and shouldn't have to clean a space themselves so they can place their food. Thanks for listening and definitely will be back.
My first time at Benny’s (Norfolk). Greeted upon entering. The staff were friendly. Tiny inside the spot, however there are a few seats outside. We ordered ours to go. The slices are extremely big! The flavor is even bigger!! There is just enough sauce to accent all the cheese on that huge slice. The cheese blend at Benny’s is not like other places— I think I tasted sharp cheddar which had a nice bite! Also, if you’re into spice on your pizza, try some of the hot sauce they have. If you haven’t tried this pizza, you’re missing out.
