Brian took the time to analyze my account and make recommendations to me on where to move funds around. He also talked to me about other investment opportunities outside the 401k. We came to know of Darcy Bergen in a roundabout way. My husband and I had met with someone after I attended a financial seminar. We reluctantly initiated transfers to a firm. But we walked away thinking we didnt truly understand, but this person sure acted like he knew what he was doing. But a friend and I had signed up for a class held at GCC North. Darcy was the instructor and he spoke in layman's terms about investments, which had always sounded Greek to me in the past. Bonus was he had a confident but calm demeanor. He did not speak like a "used car salesman." Mind you we met with Darcy in 2020 after my husband took an early retirement from Commercial flying. We were faced with needing to move all of our 401K/IRA funds someplace safe. Both of us instantly knew Bergen financial was the place for us. It's been nearly 4 years since I took my husband to meet the instructor of that class at GCC North. Darcy has always explained options and shows us in easy to understand graphics, where our money is and options to place funds. Darcy keeps abreast of the financial market as well as managers of funds. The market can be a rollercoaster and it is comforting knowing we have an honest and knowledgeable financial advisor in our corner. His staff is also very friendly and helpful as well. It would behoove anyone to at least meet with Darcy; because ultimately your retirement funds should be in secure accounts.
