I’ve been shopping at Bernie’s Wine Stop for the past three years, and it’s easily the hidden wine gem of Jacksonville. Each year I buy two cases for my parents, along with bottles for my brother and myself, and the selection and service is unmatched. Victoria is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and makes every visit enjoyable. She really cares about helping you find the perfect wine. Highly recommend this shop to anyone hunting for wines you won’t find anywhere else at a great price.
Bernie’s Wine Stop in Murray Hill is hands down the best wine shop in Jacksonville! Bernie’s has a phenomenal selection of wines from all around the world, from hidden gems to well-known favorites. The owner, Victoria, and staff are not only incredibly knowledgeable but also humble and approachable, making it easy for a wine novice like myself to learn and explore without feeling intimidated. Their customer service is second to none, whether you’re looking for the perfect bottle to pair with a home-cooked meal or diving deep into the science and artistry behind wine during one of their Friday tastings (also paired with cheese from the awesome cheese shop next-door, Grater Goods.) Every visit feels personal and enjoyable, and you always walk out learning something new (and with a great bottle in hand). Murray Hill is lucky to have Bernie’s, it’s truly a gem for wine lovers of all levels!
A true local gem! We love and trust Bernie’s. Their wine selection is bar-none, their knowledge is an asset to this community, and the vibes are great! Whether you’re just popping in to grab a bottle for an event or keeping your shelves stocked, Bernie’s is a go-to for us. Be sure to stop by Friday night wine tastings, where you get to meet other locals and sample six (or so) wines for only $10 per person, AND the cheese store will often stay open to do cheese pairings for it! They also keep gift bags on hand for that last-minute grab-and-go gift. And the best selection of wine-related stain removers I’ve seen in Jax—this stuff really works! Don’t miss this local highlight. We love Bernie’s!
No trip to Jacksonville is complete until you visit Bernie's! The store is thoughtfully laid out by wine region and features an eclectic and affordable wine selection. Victoria and her staff are knowledgeable, engaging, and continue the Bernie's tradition of a great wine shopping experience. I will certainly keep coming back when in JAX!
