I recieved a head unit from best buy through FedEx and it arrived in an open box as photos will show.Didnt bring it to my installer for that reason but returned it to nearest store.Only reason I gave 4 stars because customer service was awesome.
Well, my husband drove an hour and back to pick up our new kitchen aid dishwasher. Got it home and opened the box and there’s a huge dent in it. Can’t get the store on the phone, just routes you to customer service over and over who can’t help and advise you to go back to the store.
Best Buy was nice. The facility was clean and well stocked. The selection of items were spot on. We were looking aimlessly around when a customer service rep came up and asked if she could help. When we explained what we were looking for, she immediately pulled it up and went and got it while we continue to shop. Once we were finished, we went and found her. She rang us up and made sure we had help loading the TV. Great experience! Highly recommend!
Update: I’ve already gone through every appropriate channel regarding this issue, including the store, Geek Squad, corporate escalations, and the BBB, and corporate has continued to deny liability. Kanisha from corporate acknowledged the smoke damage but still labeled it as “pre-existing,” despite the fact that it visibly worsened immediately after the technician’s visit. The TV was not in this condition before the repair attempt. I’ve provided full documentation and correspondence to the BBB, but the case was closed without any resolution or replacement offered because corporate refuses liability. I’ve now been through every possible route, including customer relations, with no progress, and corporate has refused to let me speak with Risk Management. At this point, I’m asking the store directly to review the evidence and do the right thing. I’ve followed all procedures, submitted every requested document, and simply want the product replaced or repaired properly. The situation has been ongoing for months with no accountability, and it’s been extremely frustrating as a loyal customer. I had a Geek Squad technician come inspect my Samsung TV under Best Buy’s protection plan, and during the visit he pressed on the screen, causing it to crack, emit smoke, and nearly start a fire. The technician even said, “I’ve never seen that happen before.” My husband and I were left with a room full of smoke, a completely unusable TV, and later both became sick from the exposure. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, Best Buy and Sedgwick continue to deny responsibility—calling it “pre-existing damage”—even though the safety hazard occurred only after their technician’s actions. I’ve provided photos, videos, and detailed documentation, but no one at Best Buy has taken accountability. This was not just poor service—it was dangerous and unprofessional. Be cautious if you ever allow Geek Squad into your home for service. I do want to say that the managers Adrian and Jessica were the most helpful with my in store visit. Very professional and were very concerned about my issue. They receive 5 stars, but this company is trash.
I was going to give this Best Buy a 3 originally bc the salesman Alic was great and believe the mistakes were truly not his fault. When purchasing two scooters for our kiddos bdays he gauranteed us a certain delivery date. When that date came I called to check on delivery to find out from “customer service” not located in the store that our order was not shipped due to a sales tax. I was so upset as we had receipt Of paid items including additional warranty on both and on top of that already paid sales tax on each item and for service for warranty’s. Totaling 98.50 for sales tax! Customer service wanted to charge and tax us yet again bc the scooter were coming from another said with different taxes. I let them know that is illegal and not the customer responsibility and now my items paid for aren’t being guaranteed the delivery date given on initial purchase date on recipe.contract! On top of it I demanded to speak to the actual store manager and they claimed to transfer me to only get hung up On! My husband rode by there after work and thankfully the manager as well as alic remeber us and were not sure why “customer service” locked in tax sales changing once again and blocked our delivery. Customer service also changed the amt of sales tax in same conversation and it kept increasing. Thankful for Alic and manager for getting our scooters and correcting this nightmare caused by “customer service.” Only other complaint I have is for store managers to be able to get calls instead of having customers inconvenienced to have to go back into store. Makes it hard especially when one parent is working as the other has been injured. I gave 5 stars as manager heard me and understood completely my frustrations and irritations and got us our scooters.
