My husband works for a company that had this bbq catered this past Friday on the 12th. Thank God my husband had enough to bring home, it consisted of leg quarter, brisket, tips, loaded potato salad, green beans and cornbread. When I say Fire!!!! That does not say enough, this was the best bbq and sides I have had from any restaurant here in Fort Wayne, AMAZING!!! Smoked to perfection, tender, well seasoned, I mean everything was primo. I asked my husband who catered this, he had know idea, I told him when Monday comes you need to ask your employer because I'm going to ha e them cater my mom's 80th birthday party. If you haven't tried them you are missing out, please do yourself a favor and enjoy some good eating, it won't disappoint.
Awesome food every time! My kids ask for the rib tips every time, they love em!! Everything I’ve tried so far pulled pork, chicken, brisket, Mac n cheese, right down to the cornbread is great! When you see their truck do yourself a favor and try it! You won’t be disappointed. Plus the entire family helps run the business and they are super people!! Keep up the great work.
Big Hungry BBQ catered my wedding. Im picky about BBQ and this was some of the best BBQ I have eaten. My guests were all raving about the food. We had pulled pork, pulled chicken, and pork ribs and everyone loved it. There were even some really awesome vegetable choices for the vegetarian people. There were some last minute kinks on my end during the wedding day and it was no factor for Nick he took care of it. Very affordable pricing, and you can tell he puts a lot of thought into smoking and preparing the food. Nicks wife Liz also is an Indiana licensed bartender! We had to change bartenders, and ended up hiring Liz as well. I had 175 wedding guests, most would be considered relatively heavy drinkers, and Liz handled the whole crowd by herself for 8 full hours! 10/10 would recommend Big Hungry BBQ for the food, and if there is drinking involved, the bartending as well.
Big Hungry catered my son's wedding rehearsal dinner last weekend and I don't have enough superlatives to adequately describe our wonderful meal. It felt so wrong for me to accept so many compliments from our appreciative family and guests, but everyone was delighted with all of the deliciousness we ordered. We had ribs, chicken wings, pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, cornbread, green beans, potato salad, cucumber/onion/tomato salad. The ribs, chicken wings and cucumber/onion/tomato were my absolute favorites. I especially loved the way the rub on the ribs and chicken. His BBQ is also top shelf ... until we served banana pudding pie. Dessert was so outstanding that when our guests realized our first tray was gone I thought tears were going to be shed. Fortunately for all we had a second tray! All of our meal was exceptionally delicious. Owner Nick was also super helpful and very easy to work with. He provided me with great recommendations, was punctual with his delivery (at more than an hour from Big Hungry HQ), and was extremely kind and gracious. If I could, I would rate Big Hungry with 10 stars. I highly recommend them to anyone who appreciates really good BBQ in Fort Wayne, IN. Thank you to Nick and everyone at Big Hungry! You have something very special there. Please look me up if you ever decide to open a location in Florida.
By far the best BBQ I've had. Great real wood smoke flavor the seasoning is on point for all the meats! The Mac n cheese is one of a kind and the cornbread will have you wanting to eat into a food coma!
